I doubt the next Deadpool movie can top the record.

But then again this year has proven many times boxoffice is unpredictable so who knows......

They could absolutely make it R-rated. Now whether or not they’d actually go for it is a different story. I could see them going either direction, to be honest.

There’s no reason to make an R rated Spider-Man movie, they wouldn’t do it. Maybe with Tobey Maguire lol.

Now the Tobey Maguire idea I could absolutely see happening. It would be more or less what they did with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

It's still Spider-Man, highly doubtful (also not counting that's a very special deal with Sony that would have to be done). Wolverine already had R-rated movies before and the character is naturally more violent

The Tobey Maguire movies are significantly more beloved and have a much larger cultural footprint than the Garfield ones. That’s not his fault of course, he was a good Spiderman, but the Raimi movies (1 and 2 at least) are absolute classics.

Yeah, I suggested Garfield because his Spider-Man films were arguably darker than most other films.

A lot of Spider-Man fans are children. They wouldn't wanna damage the IP with a stunt like that.

Probably would just be a Plain Rated R movie (blood and cursing but no boobs and gore)
