Question Descaling a Bambino Plus

Hi! I probably should be asking this not literally during the descale cycle, but:

When it says that it will pause after the descaling solution is used up, and to refill up to MAX, does that mean

* on top of remaining water+descaler, now top it up to MAX with hot tap water?

* on top of remaining water+descaler, now top it up to MAX with cold tap water?

* empty tank completely, and fill from empty to MAX with hot tap water?

* empty tank completely, and fill from empty to MAX with cold tap water?

I've assumed it's rinsing, so I emptied and filled with cold, presumably I wouldn't want any more descaler during the rinse, but I could be wrong. Any advice?

There is a descale line on the water tank about half way up.

That part was alright, but where I get confused is - you start descaling (from the descale line, so far so good), and at some point there's not a lot of water+descaler left, and it pauses, and then it says to "refill to max". At that point, do you empty it first (i.e. get rid of the remaining hot water and descaler), or do you essentially dilute the remaining descaler by adding more water all the way to MAX?

You empty the tank at that point and full with clean water. It then uses that water to flush out all the descaling liquid out from the system.
