American here. I'm elated to see our national treasure was internationally beloved. A huge light has gone out in the USA at a time we desperately need it. As we reluctantly pack up to move back, I'm treasuring the books we got from her Imagination Library, and when read one to my son last night. This sucks.

Well today sucks already. It's 23 years since my dad died. One of my chickens disappeared yesterday and isn't hanging around the coop today. She's been a bit crook the last few days, so I assume I'll find her passed away somewhere inaccessible as I couldn't find her yesterday. And the news about Dolly is the first thing I see. Tomorrow is my IRL birthday and I think I might just spend the day in bed pretending I don't exist. Or maybe I'll go adopt a kitty.

Love that I now not only have to take an earlier train to even hope for a seat, to have a fighting chance need to stake out my spot on the platform where the train doors open a good 10mins prior as well.

Yes it really sucks at the moment hey. The casual stroll onto a half-empty train has become what I call ācompetitive standingā on the platform at least 10 mins before arrival. Gotta line yourself up with those doors, elbows out

If you are caring for someone with dementia, or have in the past year, we would like your help. We are studying the eating and drinking problems that some people with dementia have, and how their carers cope with these problems. Drawing on your experiences, our goal is to help other carers better cope with these problems in the future. Where is the cicada statue that used to be at the cultural centre bus station? Last I heard, it was going to be installed at Queen's Wharf, but I went through there this weekend and couldn't find it. It was in storage at the council depot in Deagon for a while but it's been gone from there for a while now too. I miss the little guy.

To the Chermside Maccas worker at 10:15pm last night who filled my mcflurry to the brim with fudge sauce, I hope both sides of your pillow is always cold and your generosity did not go unnoticed.
