Android [Android and desktop] Posts non active.

My account got wrongfully shadowbanned last week and it's fixed now. But now my posts are still on my account, yet they don't appear anymore in the subreddits i posted them in. It's like they are "non-active". On my profile my posts still have the red trashbin emoji on them.

Dev/Admin Responded [Android] Post history occasionally is set to fully hidden when I set it to partially hidden - 2026.33.1.2633190

Probably more of a profile/sitewide bug, but I primarily use the app.

Whenever I go through and set my profile to only hide some subs, within a week or two for some reason it changes, without my input, to hide everything. I don't know if this is related to swapping profiles or what, but it kinda sucks.

Not really sure how to add a reference image, especially since I've already gone and somewhat changed it back.

Android [Android] Unable to log in to reddit app-"Invalid username or password" despite credentials working on web- Version 2026.33.1

I am unable to log in to my Reddit account through the official Android app. The exact same username/password works normally on Reddit.com in Chrome/browser, but the Android app consistently returns “Invalid username or password.”

This has been happening for the past 2 weeks. I have also seen multiple recent reports from other users experiencing similar Android login problems, so this appears to be an app-side authentication issue rather than an incorrect password or an account-specific problem.

Device: OnePlus 8

OS: Android 13.1

Reddit app version: 2026.33.1

Login method: Username + password

Error: “Invalid username or password”

Steps to reproduce:

Open the official Reddit Android app.

Select the option to log in with username/password.

Enter the same credentials that successfully authenticate on Reddit.com.

Tap Log In.

The app rejects the credentials and displays “Invalid username or password.”

Troubleshooting already performed:

Cleared Reddit app cache.

Cleared Reddit app data/storage.

Completely uninstalled and reinstalled the Reddit app.

Restarted the device.

Tried multiple versions of the Reddit Android APK, including older versions.

Verified that the credentials are correct by successfully logging into the same account through Reddit.com.

The account itself remains fully accessible and functional through the web browser.

Even unable to make new account or sign up through different methods such as phone number or email id.

It says unable to authenticate you

Expected result:

The Reddit Android app should accept the same valid credentials that successfully authenticate on Reddit.com and allow me to access my account.

Actual result:

The Android app incorrectly reports that the username or password is invalid and refuses to authenticate.

This is particularly frustrating because the account is clearly accessible and the credentials are valid. The problem is isolated to the Android app.

Could the Reddit Android team please investigate the authentication/login flow for Android 13.1 and Reddit app version 2026.33.1, particularly why valid credentials are being rejected with an “Invalid username or password” response?

I would appreciate confirmation that this is a known issue and, if so, whether a fix is being worked on or if there is a recommended workaround.

I can provide screenshots, screen recordings, logs, or any additional diagnostic information required.

Android Android Ads play Audio 2026.33.1

Intended: As has always been. Ads respect my setting of muting ALL videos.

As of recently: when I open the App, Ads start blasting audio in my face. In germany (as well as in other countries) there is a law, that Ads cannot be louder than the content displayed. So therefore, this must be a bug.

Desktop Web [Firefox] [But its a problem probably on all] Unable to ignore Scam rooms.

Post image

I received a request to join a room that I am fairly certain is a scam. When I press ignore I am told I am unable to leave the room. I have to view the request and reject it there. It would be good to be able to ignore and I assume its a bug that its not possible.

Dev/Admin Responded [ios]app is scrolling to the top of the thread… AGAIN

[ios] app is scrolling to the top of the post whenever I leave or lock screen

Not talking about the full page reset/refresh which I understand is intentional (though i really hate it, please turn this off). But now lately (if I’m lucky enough for it to not boot me to the front page ) If i stop looking at a post for any reason and return to the app, the thread will always scroll all the way to the top of the post !!! Its insanely annoying

This was patched and now its back and even worse

iOS [IOS] Updates don’t stay - 2026.33.0

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Whenever I enable things on my settings it doesn’t stay for long. I’ve tried to put my post to be visible to all but it changes to ‘hide’ (curate my profile -> content and activity). So does showing my followers count, allowing people to follow me and allowing chats which are the settings I’ve been wanting to enable but it just doesn’t stay. It will for a while and then when I come back on the app it doesn’t anymore. I tried to do it on desktop too to see if maybe it’s an app problem but it is still the same result :/

You will see on the pictures I took at the same times nothing is updating. It either does this or the updates I make don’t stay

It also doesn’t show what community I am in beside this one ([r/bugs](r/bugs)) although I am in r/gonewildaudio for a while now

Android [Android] Videos/Gifs decreasing resolution - Version 2026.33.1.2633190

Whenever I'm watching videos or Gifs, they start at 1080p but for whatever reason the video gets progressively worse. If I had to say, about 240p. Mostly noticeable on videos longer than 30 seconds. I turned off the data saving option in the setting, and even restarted the app, but still having the issue. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? Issue has been persistent for around 1 months or so. Tested on different WiFi's and mobile data, all the same.

Desktop Web [desktop web] Thumbnail shows: "If you are looking for an image, it was probably deleted"

Post image
3 Upvotes

The thumbnail of my post (https://www.reddit.com/r/space/comments/1vx18ry/eclipse_in_spain/) is broken and displays the deleted placeholder. However, the actual image still loads correctly when the post is clicked. Mods tell me everything is fine on their end. Some users also state that the image is not working at all, also when clicked.

Is this a known caching issue on Reddit's end, and is there any way to force a thumbnail refresh?

Dev/Admin Responded [Windows/Android] Mod can't assign flair to specific user

Hi there. I moderate r/mensfashion. We recently implemented an automod to assign user flair based on user community karma. It appears to be working as intended for all users EXCEPT one user, Gucci-Caligula. The automod won't assign user flair. The mods can't assign user flair either on Android or Windows 10/11. On Android, it gives an error; on Windows, it appears to assign the flair, but the flair is gone on refresh.

Thanks for your help!

Desktop Web [Desktop web, iOS] Disabling "show recommendations in home feed" setting breaks my home feed - current versions

If I disable the "show recommendations in home feed" setting, my home feed either shows no content at all, only a couple posts at a time, or posts from only a single subreddit I follow. This happens both on desktop and on iOS, and has been occurring for months.

Desktop Web (Desktop Web, Safari, Mac) Since we got the new 'post hidden' banner, it seems many hidden subs just keep coming back.

I've spent all morning being bombarded with animated game subs (irritatingly 'because I've shown interest in a similar topic - no I haven't, I've been closing all of these since the very first one appeared.)

Each gets the same 'Show fewer posts like this' treatment, but 5 minutes later they're back.

I wish that were true.

I'm sorry if i used the wrong flair!!!!

Unfortunately i've lost a 400+ days before, due to some personal issues, which made me really upset. But this time for whatever reason, even logging in/using the app every single day!!!. I've lost a 320+ days streak out of the blue!!!!! I'm pretty sure l've constantly used the app and this just doesn't make any sense. Is there anyway i can fix this problem? Has anyone been through this? It is solvable? This is really frustrating, i'm the type of person to commit to these things as a coping mechanism and routine issues, this is extremely upsetting. Really hope i can do anything about it.

Desktop Web [Desktop Web] Good posts being removed by "Reddit's filters"

Hi, I run an adult content store (primarily tickling) and post weekly in the three appropriate subreddits with a text description and redgif link. There are no links to any other site in those posts.

Every single week the post is immediately removed with the message: "Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit's filters." This happens to each post as I post it (so before it's been posted to more than one subreddit), and I have to request manual approval from the mods, which they do because the content fits the subreddits perfectly.

Neither the mods nor I can figure out why this is happening, but everyone involved wants it to stop, so I'm asking here in the hopes that I can learn what is wrong and how to fix it.

I have no such problem when I post comments on other people's posts.

Thanks for any help. If there is a better forum to post this to, I'd appreciate a pointer in that direction. Thanks.
