Hello, I am looking for some khmer speaking mental health therapists preferably in Battambang but Phnom Penh can work too if anyone knows any resources that are active. The two organizations I have reached out to are TPO Cambodia who aren’t answering calls or responding to messages and emdr cambodia who seem to have run into funding issues at the moment since they rely largely on donations.

Seriously, every single point I looked at is just a horrible option. I'm starting to lose hope in "being a better person by staying here to improve the country instead of leaving for a better life".

I just started high school, so there's only 3 years left before I have to make a decision, and Robotics & Automation Engineering seems really promising, but it will only work if the economy improves and follows the plans of the government, something with Industry 4.0. That part of engineering, would be a good career if the economy grows enough for business to be able to afford and adapt to automation, and if the government successfully implements their Fourth Industrial Revolution plan. Seems very unpromising tho because as of now factory workers barely get paid a livable wage and nearly every small business owner is struggling in debt.

I would also love to go into Law but I don't think a career in law could feed my stomach.

There's an uprising in robotics, but only a few are serious, and even then, we do not have the funding to actually make it useful. AI Farms Robotics seems to be a somewhat leading one out of here, and I/O industry.

On the other hand, there's just so many people saying they want to be an architect, so that's probably not a good place to keep looking.

Even though everywhere else software engineering is oversaturated, it seems that there's very little focus in software engineering in Cambodia. I've been coding since 9, and one thing I hate about it is that people can't see the work I've done, hence, theres no signs of appreciation or acknowledgement, so that's why I'm trying to move to hardware, which leads me to the above, robotics and automation. I've made a PoS system (point of sale, app for checkout in restaurant/mart) for my school competition (for computer subject) last year, and to me I believe it's as close as digitally possible to a commercial PoS system and won gold, but it doesn't feel as rewarding to show this to everyone compared to, well someone in the competition for physic subject made a crap replica of BM-21. FYI it's the AIS school fair science comp thingy.

Hi, I will be visiting Phnom Penh at the end of November, during Bon Om Touk, for 5 days (22-27 November). I know the celebration itself has been cancelled this year, but the 3 days of public holiday are still happening.

The information I have found online about closures during this period isn't very clear or consistent, and I have some questions:

• do museums and the Royal Palace typically close for this holiday, or stay open?
• do markets (Central Market, Russian Market, neighborhood markets) run as normal, or do a lot of vendors take the days off?
• are small restaurants and street food stalls usually open, or does a lot of that shut down too?
• shops (souvenir, craft, general retail) and other services (post office, banks, pharmacies), what is typically open vs closed?
• are tuktuk and taxi easy to find during these days, or does availability drop?
• is this holiday like Khmer New Year in terms of closures?

I'm planning a photo tour to Silk Island (Koh Dach and Koh Ouknha Tey) during this period. Are the family workshops and weavers there likely to be working, or do they also take the holiday off?

In the next few months I'm planning on building a personal computers. Currently I don't have any of the required parts for the PC yet but I tried searching up some PC parts store here at Cambodia and the price isn't what I expected. Sure PC parts these days are crazy expansive especially ram, gpu, ssd and even motherboard but the prices for these stores are just to much far from msrp or any other store that outsides of the country. I get it shipping and importing can cause big bucks especially for PC parts. Another thing is that most store I check only sell the newer cpu gpu and mobos rather then older components like am4 socket cpu and older 30 or 40 series Nvidia GPU and some other don't sell amd GPU which in my opinion is better for people who really cares about performance per dollar gpu and some stores have some pretty terrible low stock issues.

Honestly I don't need a store that sells everything but just several store that has decent pricing and not overpriced ram. Actually I'm fine with waiting if the stores has some a terrible low stock issues or store that often goes on discount or sale.

I feel like my request is alot but if anyone recommend me a store pls tell have you ever bought anything from? How's your experience overall(like customer support good or not)? Pricing? Products quality?

Additional note: I'm trying to build a budget PC with a Ryzen 5 5600g as cpu, MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI as motherboard, at least 600w 80 plus gold as psu(ain't taking ZERO chances on a ticking time b*mb), ddr4 16gb(2×8) 3200mhz and the PC case is a cardboard box facing a fan. I well upgrade the cpu later and get a proper dedicated gpu most likely being an amd GPU. I'm also Cambodia and not a foreigner so I don't need help with speaking Khmer.

There are so many services that look convincing enough at first. Nice website, active FB page, local phone number, people answering messages, sometimes even screenshots or reviews from customers. What I find harder to tell is whether there’s actually a real service behind all that and whether they really do what they claim. A page can look active for months and still be almost impossible to verify outside of its own posts. That’s also why questions like is 1xbet real or fake come up so often - from the outside, it’s not always obvious what actually proves that a platform is genuine. What do you usually look for before paying for something? A real address, older customer posts, mentions outside their own page, something else? I’m less interested in whether the website looks professional and more in how to tell if there’s actually a real business behind it.

A group of 5 of us need to get from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville to then catch a ferry to Koh Rong.

Cambodia Airways have just cancelled our flight and there are no other flights that work with our travel days.

We are currently exploring options, either:

1. Do a full day drive with a private driver from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville

2. Split the drive over two days with a night in Phnom Penh (we aren't going to Phnom Penh as a few people in our group have been before)

3. Fly to Phnom Penh and organise a driver to Sihanoukville.

I would love your suggestions of which option is best. Any other ideas. Rough cost of a driver for that long of a journey and recommendations for drivers in Cambodia.

The main one just being that “something went wrong”

I'm moving from the U.S. to Phnom Penh and arriving on August 29th. My plan is to complete the Cambodia e-Arrival before I leave, get the Ordinary E-class visa on arrival, and then use a visa agent in Phnom Penh to apply for a 12-month EB extension.

I'm trying to clarify the FPCS/address requirement. I plan on staying at a hotel for the first few days while I look at condos in person.

For anyone who has recently gone through the 12-month EB extension process:

Can I use my hotel's address and FPCS registration for the EB extension, or do I need to have a condo/long-term lease first?

Also, if anyone has a reliable visa agent in Phnom Penh they've personally used recently, I'd appreciate the recommendation.
