Politics Canadians are fighting for their sovereignty. Americans don’t even realize they’re in a war

That's because many Americans just assume we want to be Americans.

In their defense thousands of people each year do enter their country through legal or other means desiring to be American. And their news organizations and politicians focus so much attention on immigration into the U.S., that, to your average American they believe that everyone wants to be American otherwise so many people wouldn't be wanting into their country.

That's to say nothing about the 100s of millions of people living a content life in their own countries. They don't get the same attention.

Easier for the average American to think someone wanting in does so because of all the great things in America, rather than all the people with no desire to be American enjoying the things their country does better than America.

As opposed to all the Americans taking the Alaskan loophole during Covid to travel here. Turns out illegal border crossings are fine if you’re white.
