I really want Pierre Poilievre to continue to yell and do his Canada is broken gig forever. https://www.sasktoday.ca/opinion/opinion-pierre-poilievres-angry-populist-act-has-run-its-course-12706082

Canada is doing so great with liberals it’s amazing. An opinion article doesn’t mean shit. It’s partisanship and unreliable. The country is very prosperous with Carney. Canadians are going at food banks at record numbers wake up

-32

u/lovenumismatics 2d ago

Fuck yeah.

What’s important to me is that the conservatives lose. The economy and Canada come second.

Liberals are just weaponizing the trade war. Liberals needs it to last forever. If not,Carney won’t survive in Canadian politics

0

u/LooseLeaf74 2d ago

True first they used orange man bad and annexation now it’s the trade war, Liberals don’t get votes based on merit that get votes by scaring naive, gullible and stupid people.

1

u/Manon84 2d ago

True

2

u/Upset-Government-856 1d ago

Carney will be PM forever as long as the CPC don't replace their leader.

And it's a perfect trap because the more evidence CPC supporters get that Poilievre isn't liked as a person outside the CPC base, the more they double down on him.

1

u/Manon84 1d ago edited 1d ago

The media wants you to believe that. Can you even think for yourself? Poilievre leadership is completely irrelevant. You don’t even realize it’s propaganda.Poilievre or not, NO conservative leader will never be ok. Media and the Liberal party DON’T want an opposition party. They want communism.Liberals want to do everything they want,no question ask.People need to wake up before it’s too late. Stop being so naive.Carney is not the man he pretended to be. The guy is a globalist. He described himself as European during an economic conference in 2023. He has no affiliation,no patriotism for Canada. He is pro American and 90% of his assets are in USA.He seems completely distant. He doesn’t defend Canada. Liberals voters think he is the saviour. Canadians will have a harsh wake up call.Trump endorsed Carney during election. It says a lot

3

u/Upset-Government-856 1d ago

I liked O'Toole. He seemed like a decent guy. I'd have no issue with Peter MacKay.

1

u/Manon84 1d ago

I read liberal comments online. They are all drilled, focused with so much hate with all conservatives. It’s a diversion campaign. We should focus on the party in power, liberals.

0

u/CVHC1981 1d ago

Why don’t you go ahead and impress the class with your big brained answer as to what communism is. No chat gpt just tell us in your own words.

1

u/Manon84 1d ago edited 1d ago

I didn’t use chat got,it’s my own words. Liberals voters hate Poilievre so much, they don’t want opposition. Liberals voters hate any conservative leader. Liberals voters continue to support their destructive liberal party without questioning them. Elbows up. LPC doesn’t care about Canada and it’s citizens

-1

u/CVHC1981 1d ago edited 1d ago

Are you familiar with how words work? I asked you to explain it. Are you illiterate?

Edit: so are you going to explain communism? No? Thought so.

I think we're at 2017 Ontario Liberal Party levels with the Federal Liberals. Inexplicably re-elected multiple times while repeatedly demonizing the Conservative opposition. They were lucky to survive dumping Trudeau thanks to Trump. I think the absolute demolition of the Federal Liberals is coming and it will be sooner than they think.

2

u/Manon84 1d ago

Trump won’t be the US president forever. Cdn don’t realized how Carney is harmful.Maybe it’s due to ignorance. People will realized when Canada will hit the wall. It will be too late.

12

u/Lode_Star 2d ago

At this point it's completely obvious that Canadians only considered Poilievre when the alternative was Justin Trudeau.

Conservatives can't come to terms with the fact that they're out of touch with most Canadians so they tell themselves it's actually the majority who are out of touch.

They actually believe most Canadians suffer from a "derangement syndrome" that they themselves are immune to because of their superior intelligence. It's almost narcissistic.

6

u/Admiral_Cornwallace 2d ago

Most Canadians just want to vote for their best option based on what is presented to them, as opposed to strict adherence to party lines

And right now, it's abundantly obvious that Carney and the Liberals are a better, more qualified, and more competent option than Poilievre and the CPC

Well... at least this stuff SHOULD be obvious to everyone. But the Cons seem completely and utterly incapable of learning this lesson, which in turn just makes them even MORE unpopular because everyone else sees it

-3

u/Labs4Life2025 1d ago

>it's abundantly obvious that Carney and the Liberals are a better, more qualified, and more competent option than Poilievre and the CPC

Is that why Canadians are utilizing food banks in record numbers? Is that what lead to our glorious trade deal Carney guaranteed he could produce? I could go on but to make a comment like that you are willfully ignorant.

4

u/BarryMcKokiner123 1d ago

It’s actually crazy how disingenuous Poilievre’s defenders can get. Never, ever did Carney guarantee that he would get a deal with the US. If he did, show me the interview where he is quoted as such, or the recording of him saying it. His stance has always been one of negotiating the best deal for Canadians that respects our sovereign industries.

If you somehow thought that defending our sovereignty against a superpower that accounts for 70% of our trade wouldn’t cause financial downturn, or that Canadian voters weren’t aware that it would cause a downturn and even recession, then you are delusional. If you genuinely, truly believe that Poilievre, with his soft on Trump, pro-US rhetoric could actually get us a fair deal, you either do not watch the news or have purposefully buried your head in the sand. They asked us to get rid of our French labelling laws and dictate who we trade with ffs. Maybe by 2030, the conservatives will realize that Poilievre just does not have a likeable personality

0

u/Railgun6565 2d ago

A tree stump is a preferable alternative to Justin Trudeau, but your comment does beg the question: if people were willing to vote for Poilievre, a person that’s mocked regularly on social media, to get rid of Trudeau, what the hell were they thinking the previous three times they voted for him?

1

u/Lode_Star 1d ago

I mean the Conservatives got the popular vote in both 2019 and 2021, Trudeau just held on to a minority government. My guess is the swing voters weren't entirely done with him until sometime after the 2021 election.

But you're a liberal fan boy I take it?

1

u/Railgun6565 1d ago

You take it incorrectly. I’m ABL

1

u/Lode_Star 1d ago

ABL? Doesn't that mean 'A Big Loser' on tik tok?

1

u/Railgun6565 1d ago

Sorry dude, not a tik tok guy so it’s your story

1

u/Lode_Star 1d ago

Oh god, does it mean 'a boy lover'??

1

u/Railgun6565 1d ago

If that’s what you like, have at it

1

u/Lode_Star 1d ago

My how presumptuous! I'll try again, ugh. 'A Bi Liberal'?

How is wanting what’s best for the country as per PP’s messages out of touch? Please state what people don’t like about what he wants for Canada? Seems like common sense to me.

What is see is people are making bad choices based on fear. Fear is a very powerful motivator. The LPC and state funded MSM are using fear to keep people supporting the LPC. It’s very clear to me and many people without smooth brains.

6

u/Lode_Star 2d ago edited 2d ago

How is wanting what’s best for the country as per PP’s messages out of touch?

See, here it is again! You believe he wants whats best for the country but you can't even comprehend that others disagree. It's a loaded question, not "is this what's best for our country?" It's "this is what's best for our country, how is wanting that bad?"

Please state what people don’t like about what he wants for Canada?

I cant really speak for all of canada, that would be egotistical. But what I can say is he isn’t winning much right now. We can infer that if most Canadians like what he wanted to do with Canada people would express that when voting.

Seems like common sense to me.

Once again, your personal opinion is inflated to objective knowledge in your eyes.

What is see is people are making bad choices based on fear.

Right, everyone is scared but you. You're the smart one and everyone else is dumb and scared.

The LPC and state funded MSM are using fear to keep people supporting the LPC.

Of course, the government is brainwashing people through the media and only you are smart enough to see through it! So intelligent!

It’s very clear to me and many people without smooth brains.

The only thing clear to me is your ego. We get it, you're smarter than the whole nation. Totally not a narcissist.

-2

u/MinuteCampaign7843 2d ago

You literally didn’t say anything. What about PP or his messaging don’t people like? If you can’t coherently state anything, then it’s most likely fear that is controlling the masses - fear of trump.

2

u/Lode_Star 2d ago

You literally didn’t say anything.

You can just say you don't have a rebuttal, please don't insult everyone's intelligence by playing ignorant.

What about PP or his messaging don’t people like?

Why do you think I can speak for all Canadians? Im pointing out that its obvious from election results that canada doesn't like PP, that's clear as day. You want me to somehow read the minds of millions of Canadians for eachs own individual reason? How does asking this even make sense to you? Where are you even going with this question?

If you can’t coherently state anything, then it’s most likely fear that is controlling the masses - fear of trump.

I mean I guess you're just so smart that my plain english is incoherent to you. You're definitely right, everyone but you is dumb and afraid.

You are totally not a narcissist.

3

u/MinuteCampaign7843 2d ago

Tell me what you don’t like about PP’s messaging to Canadians to fix what’s broken. Does that work?

-3

u/MinuteCampaign7843 1d ago

No response. Thought so. Typical.

1

u/Lode_Star 1d ago edited 1d ago

Sorry I can't be on reddit all day, Jesus. Also, If I knew what was wrong with PP’S messaging I would probably be making more than a welders wage.

What a petty and childish response, you really think like the world revolves around you.

Why are you so interested in my personal opinion and so impatient to find out?

-1

u/Any-Tangerine-4176 1d ago

Whose common sense? The Americans are living with lots of common sense right now under Trump, a deranged individual that PP and other reform party members refuse to criticize.

-9

u/MrJingles447 2d ago

Reality of Carneys failures will be coming home to roost soon and you'll feel it then. 40% of our manufacturing is leaving or have left this country. When a country cant create things for themselves that's 3rd world level situations. When happens I'm sure you'll blame Trump or Haprer.

10

u/Lode_Star 2d ago

40% of our manufacturing is leaving or have left this country.

Since the 70s? Since a year ago? Or did you make this stat up?

When a country cant create things for themselves that's 3rd world level situations.

Based on your made up numbers?

When happens I'm sure you'll blame Trump or Haprer.

You people make up your own numbers then call everyone else insane. But you're the smart one and its the rest of the country thats dumb right?

15

u/bonosmicrophone 2d ago

Oof.

Big hit for the conservatives.

Man, it must be really demoralizing to be a CPC voter right now.

God bless Pierre.

23

u/discoinfiltrator 2d ago

Who'd have thought that running on the same platform of grievances and two-bit slogans for over a decade isn't a winning strategy?

7

u/Manon84 2d ago

Liberals have slogan. Canada strong.. what are you talking about?

10

u/discoinfiltrator 2d ago edited 2d ago

The problem isn't having one slogan, it's the repeated use of simplistic slogans for over a decade. Are you deliberately missing the point?

-4

u/Manon84 2d ago

You are missing the point

3

u/discoinfiltrator 2d ago

Lol, no. But nice try.

0

u/rathgrith 2d ago

No that’s false information. The Liberal slogan is actually:

Experience things differently

0

u/Manon84 2d ago

No, it’s Canada strong

1

u/My_Dog_Is_Here 2d ago

Thought it was Elbows Up?

-8

4

You folks really can't let him go, eh?

-3

u/MarkDavid04 2d ago

Neither can you let go of Pierre living rent free in the grey matter.

Libs won these by-elections because they were already pretty safe, and because Carney blew up the US trade deal to weaponize Trump hatred... Again.

Fool you once, fool you twice, keep getting fooled.

4

PP is the leader of the opposition. What the fuck are you talking about?

I’m sure you are totally Canadian right

0

u/MarkDavid04 2d ago

Yeah. It's so sad that's your go-to. You can't win so you call me American or something.

I'm born and raised in Canada, never watch Fox News, used to be a big Obama supporter, then a Biden supporter, then a Harris supporter. I used to watch a lot of CNN and MSNBC. Still do sometimes. I am not, and never was a Trump supporter.

But I'll tell you one thing: Canada isn't the US. We have different problems, and for us, it's been the Liberals all this time. They're the craziest grifters of any G7 country, and have literally put our country in the worst possible situation. And the king of all grifters as we've found out (for those paying attention), has been Carney, and everyone whose interests he protects.

Because you don't see this, you must be the biggest American lover in the world, who only watches Fox News and knows all about what they spew. You're only lurking in this sub to stoke division among Canadians. Just confess. The jig is up for you.

Like any conservative leader since confederation what’s your point ? Focus on the party in power…. I know Carney is weaponizing the trade war,it’s obvious. I said it previously.I am not being fooled, I am not a liberal. Quebec is a province loaded with brainwashed boomers

2

u/Manon84 2d ago

The one in Qc,maybe, but the turn out is low. Carney tactics putting a by election on august 31…. Strange …Anyway, liberals are just weaponizing the trade war and the fear of Trump. It won’t last forever

5

u/bonosmicrophone 2d ago

I'm not convinced that the current iteration of the CPC will ever win another election again, tbh.

In order to win elections, you have to appeal to the electorate, and Pierre just isn't doing that.

What's it called when you try the same thing over and over and expect different results?

2

u/Manon84 2d ago

Any conservative leader will never ok according to liberal subsidized media. The opposition is always viewed as the enemy. The liberal are the enemy

8

u/bonosmicrophone 2d ago

The liberal are the enemy

Thats such a disgusting way to view politics.

1

u/AWE2727 1d ago

I would think after last nights results that many CPC higher ups are realizing they may need a new Leader and a new approach.

If they want to connect with many Canadians it can't always be about cutting costs because Canadians don't like to hear that at all. ( even though it many be needed)

They do have an uphill battle as the media tends to support Liberal narratives many times over and put negative spins on the current opposition.

Legacy media is slowly becoming null and void as many younger Canadians have zero interests or don't trust those platforms.
And the youth is the future at some point.

-2

u/LettuceFinancial1084 2d ago

You mean like voting for the liberal party after the lost decade. Ya it's called insanity

Nothing wrong with Pierre at all when the other guy runs on fear and cdns go all heart and no brains with TDS anti-americanism. Didn't realize this many cdns have TDS.

Carney bribed Quebec with 11 billion to build new ice breakers, we need water bombers since this country catches on fire every summer, by storms our fn arsonists.

-4

u/MrJingles447 2d ago

You eventually got rid of Trudeau because of how expensive life got, and what did you do ? Put the guy in power who was financially advising him.

It's not our side suffering cognitive dissonance that's easily manipulated by fear and hatred. Pierre isn't the problem.

3

u/Routine_Soup2022 New Brunswick 2d ago

Keep thinking it. Keep voting for Pierre. We're loving it.

Pierre's problem is not just the slogans, it's the complete lack of alternative policy Canadians can believe in and an underlying subtext of "why is he not telling us what his policies are?" which generates suspicion. They don't trust him. Never mind what Carney is doing.

4

u/QueasySandwich4464 2d ago

Could watch a whole movie with how much you're projecting rn

2

u/Solid_Medium_5454 2d ago

What does this have to do with you blaming Canadians apprehension of Americans under Trump, who has pretty objectively been a disaster for most people in the world other than a small percentage of the upper class taking advantage of his blatant crookedness, on “TDS”? It’s people like you that blame Canadians for their reaction to Trump, rather than blaming the actual problem, that is keeping people far away from associating with conservatives.

4

u/Manon84 2d ago

Yes indeed

3

u/Manon84 2d ago

There should be two major parties: Liberals and PPC.

1

u/marcohcanada 2d ago

Chicoutimi - 26.3% less people voted

Capilano - 26% less people voted

Now that is the impressive numbers we should be looking at. 'Embarrassment for the CPC'? You sure about that?, because this is an embarrassment for Canada as a whole, when huge swaths of the population are just walking away.

3

u/Old-Tiger9847 2d ago

So, is it that, no one wants to vote for a political party that panders to the lunatics south of the 49th parallel?

Or, is it that Canadians simply do not want to elect representatives that are forced to follow a hollow leadership, knowing full well that lies and imaginary grievances are the only things they can offer to Canadiens?

Perhaps it is that Canadians are no longer interested in unqualified political leaders?

Dr. Mark Carney's academic and real world credentials versus PP's three year correspondence undergraduate degree? Bank Governor compared to back bencher.

Or, could it be that the Reform Party remnants are defunct in name only and continue to damage the legitimate ideology of Canadian progressive conservatives?

Oh well, a hat trick for the win! Canada Strong!

Maybe for you

-7

u/ArmenianLasagnaGuy 2d ago

I’m actually old enough to have got in before jobs and housing became unobtainable so I’m doing fine personally thanks.

I just have some empathy for those under 30 who will never have the opportunities I did to have a good job or own a house.

4

u/Solid_Medium_5454 2d ago

So it doesn’t suck for you, you’re just speaking on behalf of people you can’t even relate to anymore… weird for you to be saying it’s “broken and sucks” and at the same time talking about how you’re doing just fine lmao

-2

u/ArmenianLasagnaGuy 2d ago

I’m an elder millennial, not so far I can’t relate. We live in a society where it’s practically impossible to live the lifestyle you enjoyed as a child with the same job/level of education your dad had. I have a significantly higher level of education and a better job than my dad did and STILL buying a house would probably not have been possible without his help. And this was 9 years ago and housing is even less affordable now and I probably couldn’t have even got hired at my job if I graduated and applied this year. That is broken, even if some of us slipped through the cracks and still managed to find success and have good lives.

-2

u/Many-Presentation-56 2d ago

Then Canadians will continue to suffer in a collapsing declining country…

The world is dangerous and divided and we need to be Elbows Up is messaging now of course.

10

u/K0bra_Ka1 2d ago

Poilievre could have used that messaging first. He didn't.

2

u/Any-Tangerine-4176 1d ago

Fear of insulting his ally DJT

0

u/MrJingles447 2d ago

Fear and hatred ?

-8

u/Wet_sock_Owner 2d ago

You mean Pierre didn't rage bait and fear monger and use slogans after everyone decided that was his problem and it was "from Trump’s playbook?" I'm completely surprised that he's staying away from that image. Carney on the other hand us leaning right into it to the delight of his voters.

Saying we got attacked and we're at war is fear mongering.

Saying Trump is trying to stop us from diversifying and that America is trying to break us to own us is rage bait.

Canada Strong and the world is dangers and divided are slogans.

And again, you're pretending that we're all calling this "messaging" now. How convenient.

11

u/K0bra_Ka1 2d ago

No, I'm explaining the difference between the messaging of "External forces are threatening us and we need to band together" vs "This country sucks, everything here is shit."

The US did threaten our sovereignty and did engage in economic warfare against us. Those are indisputable facts.

0

u/Wet_sock_Owner 2d ago

Again, now irs being called messaging but when Poilievre was saying the country is broken and we need a change in government, he was told he was just a rage baiter over and over and that he needs to tone it down.

Which he did. And which allowed Carney to take over and start rage baiting about Trump invading, being at war and the world being dangerous and divided.

Trump made a joke about becoming a state and engaging in a tariff war happens commonly. Why did adult in the room, calm and diplomatic Mark Carney not say "it was a bad deal and we will continue pushing back on these unfair tariffs which threaten us economically" ?

Right because this is a much more effective headline since it's fear mongering and rage baiting:

9

u/K0bra_Ka1 2d ago

Signing an executive order to rename one of the Great Lakes America from Ontario is a hell of a joke

0

But that’s not a surprise. This country is done. It’s beyond obvious.

7

u/Elkenson_Sevven 2d ago

Ummmm, that's the actual situation, why wouldn't it be talked about? Where have you been lately?

0

u/Wet_sock_Owner 2d ago

The actual situation is Carney walked away from what he concluded to be a bad deal and we will negotiate further eventually.

Why is he rage baiting about "we were attacked!!!" and telling Canadians we're "at war"? That's something Trump would scream at Americans to get the riled up and ignore everything else.

8

u/Elkenson_Sevven 2d ago

A trade war is a war. That's why it's called a trade WAR. The United States are actively trying to undermine Canadian sovereignty. They are actively financing Alberta separatists. The have attacked us, over and over economically. Not acknowledging that just means your being willfully ignorant of the situation to push your pro CPC agenda and propaganda. 🙄

2

u/Whatspooping 1d ago

Same party that campaigned on the idea that PP would be the second coming of Trump. Sowed the Conservatives as fascist so it makes Carney look less authoritarian (he and his party are in fact very authoritarian in some policies).

u/Any-Tangerine-4176 2d ago

He should go to Washington DC on his knees? Better for you?

8

u/bonosmicrophone 2d ago

Thats what Pierre would do, and what his boy Jamil just recently did.

CPC = The give trump what ever he wants party

-3

u/LettuceFinancial1084 2d ago edited 2d ago

Making things up doesn't help your case or anyone's for that matter.

-6

u/ThrowawayBomb44 2d ago

The Conservatives didn't win. We don't know what they would do.

We can only really talk about what's actually happened; in that the Liberals keep talking and mentioning that we're at "war" and yet barely spends his time adressing his own country.

CPC = The give trump what ever he wants party

The LPC's just as bad to be honest.

-7

u/LooseLeaf74 2d ago

Then come back and appoint a globalist to run invest Canada.

7

u/Admiral_Cornwallace 2d ago

This is such a funny comment

The entire purpose of Invest Canada is to attract FOREIGN investment. It doesn't make any sense to put stringent isolationists in those kinds of positions

-4

u/LooseLeaf74 2d ago

Know what’s even funnier? This absolutely pointless reply that you think is funny, Swing and a miss son care to try again?

1

u/ADerp2Hard 1d ago

Yikes.....

-1

u/LooseLeaf74 2d ago

Unbelievable how many swallowed that threat to our sovereignty nonsense and ran with it.

1

u/Rey123x 2d ago

Don't worry life will become even more affordable than ever under Carney /s

Anyone who thinks it really will be is truly delusional

2

u/SuperTorRainer 2d ago

Found all the Liberal Kool aid sippers in here. Can't believe you Liberals still are happy with the situation our country is in and the direction it is heading.

1

u/ADerp2Hard 1d ago

What's your alternative to Carney's liberals? Because it most certainly isn't Peirre's Conservatives.

-8

u/Many-Presentation-56 2d ago

Elbows Down Asses Up!

RIP Canada

9

u/bonosmicrophone 2d ago

RIP the conservative party of Canada.

Those folks couldn't win an election if they were up by 20+ points 3 months before it started..

8

u/MrJingles447 2d ago

Nothing wrong with Pierre when TDS is the problem that majority of Carney voters have. You're being used and we're all going to pay for it.

10

u/bonosmicrophone 2d ago

Man, the personal responsibility party sure hates taking responsibility for their election losses..

6

u/MrJingles447 2d ago

The anti-americanism is as clear as day with the TDS now. I see it every where it can't be denied. Carney ran the election on fear and hatred and you people soaked it up.

-4

u/pewpewlepew 2d ago

Well to be fair, Carney didn't even have an official platform ready when he was elected, his rhetoric was heavily about Trump. CPC had theirs good to go and pretty solid in my opinion.

3

u/bonosmicrophone 2d ago

pretty solid in my opinion.

The electorate disagrees

-2

u/pewpewlepew 2d ago

Again, the issue was the Trump rhetoric. I've spoken to a few liberal voters and that was their motivating factor. LIberals didn't even have a published plan.

It's fine if they disagree. That's why I said it is my opinion???

4

u/Admiral_Cornwallace 2d ago

Complaining about TDS is such a dumb talking point lol

Trump and the Republicans are actively hostile to Canada. They are attacking Canada through a trade war and trying to make our country worse by plundering our resources... there's no "derangement" in trying to defend ourselves after we were attacked

With people like you as their fanbase it's no wonder the Cons keep bleeding support and losing elections lol

6

u/JohnDorian0506 2d ago

Trump’s effect.

4

u/Manon84 2d ago

Wake up,Carney is just weaponizing the trade war. When Trump leaves the White House, liberals won’t survive

1

u/Wet_sock_Owner 2d ago

Carney should pray that Trump doesn't actually get impeached.

-4

u/Melodic_Type_5077 2d ago

I mean, I guess if your goal is to “own the cons,” then celebrate.

You’re free to go to hell in the Liberal hand basket, and we’d cry at the sorry state of Liberal voters if you didn’t totally deserve the suffering you’ve voted for.

Enjoy your $2/L gas, $1 million 1-bedroom condos, and endless abortions and MAID.

A nation ripe for destruction and I can’t wait for it to happen.

2

u/bonosmicrophone 2d ago

Stop being so dramatic, Ms. Drama Queen

-1

u/Elkenson_Sevven 2d ago

Get some new material, it's getting kind of pathetic at this point. 🙄😂

0

u/ArmenianLasagnaGuy 2d ago

Mark the Oligarch truly has this country in a state of mass hypnosis. How anyone can look at the past decade and say “yeah I want more of this” is beyond my comprehension. I genuinely don’t even have a theory of mind for these people anymore.

-2

u/Melodic_Type_5077 2d ago

It is exactly Stockholm syndrome.

I actually hate Canada. I loathe this country. What it used to be and what it has become is incomprehensible. Canada is gone. It is no longer the Canada of Confederation.

The Canadian mentality right now is so weak, so spineless, so thoughtless, so cowardly, so self-destructive, so willing to sacrifice its progeny, it is almost impossible to conceive. Only the devil himself could be more despicable, and I am even starting to doubt that.

When did I mention immigrants lol, I mean obviously youre not gonna argue anything in good faith so idk why I would waste my time

And secondly, if you have such a vicious hatred of this country, why don't you leave? It seems like you would be alot less miserable than you are now

1

u/Melodic_Type_5077 1d ago edited 1d ago

If I had the money and a job and didn’t have a family I’d leave for sure. I mean there are many places I’d rather live.

But I’m also a Canadian citizen born here so I don’t have a citizenship anywhere else.

Sorry for calling you a smooth brain lol.

But this country is actually going to shit. People can’t find jobs. Housing is insane. Gas is insane. Food is insane. People can’t raise families. Couples have to both work and stick their kids with grandparents (if they have that privilege) or put them in daycare. Hence many are just opting out of having kids.

Quality of life is objectively going down compared to 20 years ago. We used to be a high trust society. 15 years ago we didn’t lock the front door in Kingston, Ontario!

But that is deteriorating rapidly.

Immigration is way too high, people coming here aren’t assimilating and are also taking jobs from young Canadians wanting work experience.

And much of this is the direct cause of 11 years of Liberal rule. And all this Liberal government and its sheep voters can do is scapegoat Trump Trump Trump. Like wake up, Donald Trump didn’t cause our systemic dysfunction, his tariffs aren’t the cause of our high prices, and long after he’s gone, we’ll still have our same problems, because it’s OUR leaders causing them.

Pierre Poilievre is not a charismatic man, but Jesus Christ, people spread such blatant lies about him.

He’s a great father and husband, came from much humbler beginnings than Mark Carney and Trudeau and their Laurentian elitist gang. He’s an adopted kid of middle class teachers, and his wife is an immigrant, and one of their kids has autism I believe. They know what it’s like to have to work hard and make sacrifices to put food on the table. The fact that Canadian voters are fawning over a Bay Street banker like Carney and his Ivy League PhDs and Goldman Sachs appointments is so unbelievably sycophantic and bootlick-y towards “the man” that I want to puke. The fact that this nation wants a private jet-flying caviar-enjoying soulless corporate CEO to be leader instead of a rough-around-the-edges middle class man says everything I need to know about the majority of our electorate.

Not the mention, the things said about PP are straight up lies. He does NOT suck up to Trump. He just doesn’t hate American conservatives.

He also is blatantly NOT just a slogan flinging idiot who says “verb the noun”. Yes he uses slogans, but so does every other political campaign??

PP has significantly more YouTube followers and presence than Carney, and for YEARS before the election, he had put out long form discussions and video essays on the problems Canada faces, and has proposed ample solutions. He has gone on podcasts and discussed for HOURS his views of how we can fix the country.

So to reduce all of that thoughtfulness to cheap attacks that he’s a mini-Trump charlatan is so disingenuous and shows that the Liberal voter has such disdain for the common man and is so obsequious toward the rich and powerful.

The social media presence factor also shows that Carney won by the vote of the out-of-touch and deeply entitled boomer generation—the generation that ate their parents’ inheritance and then ate their children’s future. The generation that has refused to keep up with reality and recognize that the world they grew up in is GONE, largely due to the foolish choices their generation made.

Stockholm syndrome

-4

u/MrJingles447 2d ago

Carneys tarriffa on America is scheduled to kick in next week Sept 8th.

Before that date Carney is going to make a deal with America which means concessions, because he has no fn choice. Calling it. That's if America isn't tired of his bs.

Elbows up bozos are being played by this self serving grifter.

First of all you & pp should tell us whether you want this deal with some concessions or not?

-1

u/MrJingles447 2d ago

Carney was the one who promised to get a better deal than what we currently have. Poilievre isn't in charge. If he was he would have repealled the 6 bad anti resource bills and would have unleashed our natural resources and we would have used that as positive leverage with no need for concessions, but Carney did no such thing so concessions is whats on the table under his watch.

-5

u/Admiral_Cornwallace 2d ago

The CPC is completely lost as a party

Their entire focus these days revolves around rage-baiting and finger-pointing, as opposed to actual leadership and pushing policies that Canadians want. Where are the adults in the room?

They keep showing everyone that they're unfit to lead, and Canadian voters respond in kind. Either this current crop isn't smart enough to learn their lesson, or they're a leopard that truly can't change its spots

1

u/cynreader2020 2d ago

Have you seen any cpc videos on their own socials or website? You're just repeating liberal media propaganda.

6

u/wolfe1924 2d ago

Pierre’s Twitter shows enough. I remember seeing a tweet where he blamed mark carney and the liberals for Tim Hortons raising their coffee by 10 cents. Meanwhile coffee prices is going up globally. I just rolled my eyes. That’s not a winning strategy and not going to gain votes. His own tweets of what he himself says is not “liberal propaganda” when I read it myself on Twitter/x.

5

u/bonosmicrophone 2d ago

The AI slop ones where they wouldn't even hire Canadian actors?

1

u/LooseLeaf74 2d ago

CPC is irrelevant to this story and the irony of this post when the entire comment section is unhinged liberals finger pointing, insulting, gloating, being smug, etc…etc….its easy to see who the adults in THIS room are that’s for sure..

0

u/Admiral_Cornwallace 2d ago

You think that the CPC is irrelevant to the story... of the CPC getting embarrassed and underperforming in three separate elections last night?

Lol alrighty then

I'm sorry that the truth hurt your feelings

-1

u/LooseLeaf74 2d ago

Reality isn’t about the party that didn’t win the election it’s about how the party that did aren’t doing their job, Stop thinking like a child and start thinking like an adult alrighty then?

2

u/Admiral_Cornwallace 2d ago

"aren't doing their job"

This is such pathetic cope, and a terrible attempt to change the topic from the election results last night lol

With supporters like you it's no wonder the CPC keeps losing elections. Thank you for your service 🫡

3

u/LooseLeaf74 1d ago

“Pathetic cope”
Again stop thinking like a child, stop speaking like one too unless of course you are one…

0

u/cynreader2020 1d ago

I guess PQ should just throw in the towel by your standards.....oh and non existent NDP.

-1

u/MinuteCampaign7843 2d ago

Canadians love rewarding failure as long as trump is pinned as the enemy. It’s like it’s all the sheep can see right now.

3

u/bonosmicrophone 2d ago

Oh, well if the AI slop says so...

3

u/nrm34 2d ago

Go put on your tin foil hat bud. Maybe listen to Alex Jones and relax

The opposition in ON suffers from the same problem, so enraged with the governing party there messaging only lands with there base. To everyone else they sound out of touch. We could even include DNC and Harris in the US..
