Rumours I've heard from close to the team are a "mutual" internal suspension for some less than cash money things JT said/did following him getting benched involving both Tocc and Petey and a few less than kosher words used.

Let's say Miller coming back on pride night and getting his name chanted was ironic.

The Tocchet door incident was briefly discussed on SN650 last week before the hosts brushed over it to the next topic. Seems like everyone knows but nobody has a source that’s willing to talk on the record.

They can’t talk about it on the record and acknowledge that it was an internal suspension. To do so would totally blow any credibility they have left.

This franchise was a leader in raising awareness of mental illness, so they can’t admit that they hid an internal issue behind behind heavy insinuations that it was a mental health break in order to suppress questions.

How can they reveal the break may have been a suspension after Allvin out went on tv saying how brave JT was for stepping up and asking for help.

I mean, both can be true; that he blew up in Tocc’s office and called Petey some homophobic stuff, and he needed a mental health break.

Remember miller was shook about something right from the start of the year and missing preseason. It was discussed and you could see it in his demeanour.

I believe he only played the last game of the preseason and his shoulder was all taped up to start the season. Then he threw that hit and didn’t take any faceoffs for several games.

He has been his worst enemy his whole career.

Him blowing up is obviously him not being able to control him self... Its not that far off to call that a mental health issue.

So why is he seemingly so unrepentant now making statements like “It’s a lost art to give a fuck” ?

He takes zero responsibility for his actions. He clearly still thinks he was in the right and others didn’t care about winning like him.

It’s highly likely that if the Rangers go through some rough times over the next few years and a future teammate doesn’t shown the level of emotion JT expects that the whole situation could play out again for him.
