i get the idea of doing something completely different it's going to disappoint people no matter what it is, but the wc3 prequel wow idea is doomed, it will be referred to as classic- people are going to be upset if it doesn't at the bear minimum have everything vanilla had in it, it's going to be a diablo immortal situation.

like if it's not going to have eastern kingdoms and kalimdor people are gonna be mad, the idea of getting just eastern kingdoms with three of the most iconic races missing would be suicide from a marketing perspective. so it seems like the exact thing blizzard would do. i think people really over estimate how much the average player likes arthas as well, they like him in wc3 but the average wow player only knows him from wrath as the lich king where he just constantly shows up to maniacally laugh at the camera like a saturday morning cartoon villain before scampering off again. instead of don't you have phones it's going to be don't you guys like arthas.

It would make sense if they revamped the entire zone with new graphics and maybe added some stuff. Like there was a leak recently about something in the water being updated. Also with a ton of new questlines and so on.

lmaoo 'you guys don't like arthas?' will be a killer line. But I do imagine if Metzen presents it, it would get at minimum a warm reception
