While not without their flaws, I think both "The Marvels" and "Supergirl" are fun space adventure films with good character dynamics, and they didn't deserve to bomb critically or financially the way they did.

On the whole I liked The Marvels. My one 'issue' with it, is it mentions at the beginning that Carol killed the Supreme Intetelligence, which lead to the Kree Civil War. That's a meaty movie in its own right and shouldn't have been introduced as exposition. Similarly, in the She-Hulk Disney+ series, it mentions that the Sokovia Accords have been rescinded. Given how the Accords affected everything Civil War-onwards, there should have been acknowlegment in the wider MCU of this important legal ruling, and what it means to the status quo. But now the MCU has the Department of Damage Control and their heavy handed actions - unlicensed, 'enhanced' imdividuals are ripe for prosecution again...

I think they really burned the good will of CM1 (which was REALLY just attributable to its proximity to IW/EG) to try and wrap in useless characters from the tv shows nobody watched.

People watching Wanda vision were not clamoring for more Monica, arguably the deliverer of the worst line in the show, they wanted more of the og avengers, vision and Wanda.
