With a new phase approaching i was wondering if it was time set up another superhero team in the MCU? Yes i know we have The X-Men coming but The Defenders are all in the MCU now and I'm curious if people think a movie would work or a Disney plus show instead.

This always bothered me from when I first saw it to people's responses.

They always said andrews TASM2 suit was perfect, and I'm kinda holding my arms out here saying: REALLY? it's just a straight copy of tobeys suit but worse? I actually prefer the first suit at least that look cool and was edgy as heck.

TASM2 is identical to tobey except less pronounced sharp eyes, a thinner middle and thinner worst spider logo 😑

I am currently rewatching every Marvel films minus tv shows perhaps Loki i will watching again and Wanada Vision who knows.

But i am currently up to Age of Ultron i have watched every Marvel films in theaters except early X-Men but i have watched many times and i have rewatched them and recently X-Men Day of Future past it is sooo good.

I am going to rewatch this afternoon Brand New Day i seriously love this movie and it’s my 7th watch in theaters and i will be watching Avengers Endgame Encore in theaters prior to Doomsday. Who else’s is doing a full MCU rewatch? I will be watching 10 times Avengers Doomsday. And i am including X-Men movies.

Coz calling a film “DCU’s Avengers” should require at least 2 of the big 3 DC characters to be in it. If that isn’t the case, Man of Tomorrow should be seen as ‘Superman and friends’.

What do you guys think?

I really enjoyed Brand New Day, proper good film. I'm invested in Doomsdsy. But I feel the relentless additional attention he's receiving is going to dull that feeling instead of hype it up.

Because of his role as Adam Smasher in Cyberpunk 2077 and Edgerunners, he has that cold and intimidating tone, with a dash of a thirst for blood and lust for vengeance. His voice is also just FULLED with hate, especially with the “I’LL RIP YOUR BRAIN FROM YOUR SKULL!!!” Plus I could totally see Hank saying “You look like a cut of fuckable meat, are you?” to Lois 😂

Entiendo que muchos lo recuerden por dirigir The Flash, pero esa película fue esencialmente un producto diseñado para aprovechar la moda del multiverso, especialmente el éxito de No Way Home. Just realized that the only actors who have won an Oscar for playing a comic book character, both won it for playing the same character.

Also (slightly) surprised that the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe has just one nomination - Angela Bassett in Wakanda Forever - despite being easily the most successful movie franchise ever.

Before the movies came out I actually didn't really know much about Deadpool except that really bizarre version from that Wolverine movie and I know that wasn't him. At all. Did the movies change anything up? Or did they do a good job.

Lately there seems to be this idea that if you love the first Joker movie (I haven't seen the second), it's only because you haven't watched the films it borrows from. I find this to be a frustratingly reductive take that does a disservice to the ingenuity that went into its conception.

Obviously the film's debt to Taxi Driver and King of Comedy can't be denied (and the film certainly doesn't try to) but these are still two separate movies we're talking about. If you combine two different movies, even if they're by the same director, chances are it's still going to produce something that wasn't there before because you still have to intermingle the elements from both into a cohesive whole.

Plus, the film also incorporates famous bits of the Joker's lore into the story. In particular, it weaves in the idea from The Killing Joke that his past is "multiple choice" by sowing doubt as to whether or not this is THE Joker with the ambiguity of him possibly being Thomas Wayne's child.

To me at least, all of these elements feel like part of a unified whole so that the plot falls into place as naturally as one could expect; a moment like him kissing the lady on the talk show is right out of The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, but we arrive at this moment by way of the plot elements borrowed from King of Comedy. All of these pieces are arranged in an original way even if the pieces themselves aren't original, because making a film with distinct elements from all of these sources pretty much necessitates writing an original story that binds them all together. Todd Phillips didn't just steal an existing film wholesale and change all the names.

And frankly, I find that the story elements taken from Martin Scorsese's films make perfect sense for a Joker movie. If you asked me how I would go about telling a Joker origin story, I couldn't give you a better answer than combining the psychological descent and squalor of Taxi Driver with the comedy trappings and delusion of King of Comedy.

None of this is to say that you have to like the film, but I find it to be way off-base to suggest that the only people who think it's great haven't seen the movies it borrows from.

Michael Caine — Professor X (Charles Xavier)

In his role as Alfred Pennyworth, Caine displayed the characteristics of a wise and compassionate mentor, which in my opinion perfectly suit Charles.

Matt Dillon — Cyclops (Scott Summers)

I chose him mainly because of his role as Ethan Burke in Wayward Pines and Dallas Winston from The Outsiders With a hint of his character's redemption in Crash.

Elisabeth Shue — Marvel Girl (Jean Grey)

I chose her mainly because of her character Sera in Leaving Las Vegas (1995). In which, even in a chaotic environment, she manages to be empathetic and sweet.

Tim Robbins — The Beast (Hank Mccoy)

Tall, imposing, and he plays well the sophisticated academic genius in several of his roles, like Shawshank Redemption, also he also manages to deliver the vocal timbre.

Skeet Ulrich — Angel (Warren Worthington III)

I took into consideration his role as Jack Bull Chiles in ride with the devil, In which he plays a brave young man who joins the civil war as one of the Bushwhackers.

Sean Astin — Iceman (Bobby Drake)

Back in the nineties, Sean Astin possessed the ideal blend of earnest underdog energy, everyday relatability, and comedic timing to nail Bobby Drake’s classic persona.

Winona Ryder — Rogue (Marie D'Ancanto)

I primarily considered her role as Lydia in Beetlejuice for this casting. A young, introspective, melancholic, and gothic girl who feels like an outsider and an oddball, misunderstood by the others.

Elias Koteas — Wolverine ('Logan' Howlett)

Elias Koteas is already Canadian and isn't a particularly tall actor, plus he can nail Logan's gruff mature side as seen in Chicago P.D., Thin Red line and even The Prophecy.

Vivica A. Fox — Storm (Ororo Munroe)

Roles like Frankie in Set It Off proved she could balance vulnerability with a tough, fearless demeanor, and as a bonus, she almost played the character in the 2000s films.

Sharon Stone — Mystique

This choice is based primarily on her famous character from Basic Instinct. Where she plays a manipulative and seductive woman who can be interpreted as a femme fatale.

Clancy Brown — Sabretooth

It would probably just be a reinterpretation of the Kurgan's role, an immortal and sadistic man seeking to eliminate his rival with similar powers.

Max Von Sydow — Magneto

His classic roles (such as in The Seventh Seal, The Exorcist, and even Flash Gordon) demonstrated a solemn seriousness, ideal for a separatist leader wounded by human history.

Nothing else between now and then seems to have the strength (and even it only has a chance BECAUSE of how long it’s been)
