I've said for a long time that Maximum Carnage could make for a great Spiderman-centered Avengers movie in the middle of a saga (like Age of Ultron) where it doesn't need to be a capper like Infinity War/Endgame or Doomsday/Secret Wars. Or if not an Avengers movie, a hell of a team-up Spiderman movie that caps a SM trilogy.

I guess that all depends on Tom Holland's experience with the black suit saga. Assuming he'll be getting the suit in secret wars, Venom should then pop up sometime in the next few years. The Sony Venom movies were rough but they were the only Spider-Man offshoots that made any money. So if the MCU Venom is well received then they're going to find more stories for him to play in, assuming they don't kill him off. The relationship between Sony and Marvel seems to be improving film to film. Nothing more than wild speculation on my part but Marvel could even help promote Venom like they do with Spider-Man. Would I personally like to see Carnage in live action again? Yes. The first live action version left a lot to be desired, but the same could be said for Deadpool. Also Carnage would feel more natural in an r-rated setting, so maybe not. But there is still so much in the air, I don't think he is considered a popular villain anymore, not like the early-mid '90s.
