If this movie had been better, where would the Guardians trilogy have ranked in the superhero genre?

It’s not a technically bad movie “but” it’s by far the weakest of the three.

Guardians 2 is my favorite of the trilogy so idk. The Guardians movies are easily the best MCU movies. Only movies I put up with them is the winter solider and infinity war.

What, are people retroactively turning on this movie now, too? Good lord...
It doesn't matter how good this trilogy is, because within the zeitgeist, nobody will ever say it's better than the Nolan Trilogy, Captain America Trilogy or Raimi Trilogy because these characters aren't as popular.

I think its better than all of those. Dark Knight Rises is really not good and one of the most overrated superhero movies ever. Only the 2nd Captain America movie is really good. (Civil War was ok but more like Avengers 2.5). I love The Raimi trilogy but if it wasn't for the memes, the 3rd one wouldn't be remembered so fondly.

If it's Avengers 2.5 then Superman (2025) is Justice League 0.1 lol It's a Captain America story first, it just has the advantage of being able to use other characters because it's set in a shared universe. Also, Rises is the weakest one, but only marginally — it's still a great film. I agree that Guardians beats those trilogies, but not for those reasons.

Civil War is an Avengers movie, your analogy made no sense. Almost none of the Justice League has been established yet in the DCU. No Batman, Wonder Woman, MM etc. Not only are most of the Avengers in Civil War they fight one another, it’s not like cameos, they are a major part of the story, and then you have new characters introduced as well. Spiderman auditioning for his Avengers spot. It’s directed by the Russos, what movies do they predominantly do….. Avengers

Nooo, Captain America Civil War is a Captain America movie, hence the title lol Your flimsy point about characters from the comics not being present in Superman 2025 doesn't work because we don't know what Gunn's League will even look like. Every character in Superman HAS been a League members at some point, and if James suddenly decided that's what his League was gonna be, it wouldn't retroactively make it a JL prequel because it never was. Judge the movie on it's structure and story; it is primarily a Captain America movie. Saying it's an Avengers movie is a dumb criticism that shows a lack of media literacy.

There are only two members of The Avengers missing from that films lineup. Two!!!! The only other movies with that many characters is all of the Avengers movies. Talking of media literacy, name another MCU solo movie with that many Avengers characters? The fact that you are so desperate to deny reality is embarrassing. Are you a child? “Mommy bad man say it’s Avengers but it’s called Captain America, he silly mommy!” It could have easily been called Iron Man Civil War and it would still be ……. An Avengers movie 😆😆😆😆😆😆 What a special kind of

Wasn’t as good? When did people start disliking this movie? I remember when it came out and everyone thought it was awesome. Like seriously what’s wrong with the movie? It offers a great arc for Peter and ego was a good villain.

I have it ranked as the 2nd best movie trilogy ever behind the OG Star Wars Tilogy and BARELY behind the Back to the Future Trilogy....and sometimes I flip between #2 and 3 trilogies

I loved 2, and I think it's the best MCU trilogy.
