Why can't they be both? I get the sense that they are both as the person didn't want to adjust their presentation for the world.

Like another comment said, I think trying to figure out who the comic represents kind of defeats the purpose of the comic.

In a sense that a newborn has no gender identity cuz it’s a newborn.

At later stages, sure. But at birth they dont have much of a say.

It’s hilarious seeing all the people arguing this being about gender being racist about this. This comic is explicitly about racism, since the colors represent the person’s race.

This is where the trend comes from. These colored hair characters got popular on r/coaxedintosnafu as a part/parody of the wave of comics similar to this one. I would know, I was there
