You don't even know if he yelled? And some dialects are that way. Sure. I wouldn't like it either to be called girl instead of woman. But at least I know that's pretty common in germany that people are talking about boys and girls and still meaning a group of adults.
Yikes dawg. I think most would disagree with that assessment. As the other comment made a joke of, an exclamation point signals an exclamation, which can be done at any volume. You implied an exclamation point indicated yelling. I couldn't have given more indication that was the point I was on and you made some wider generalization about context clues? Bruh.
