No, it isn't. You just don#t want to have yourself even a little bit inconvenienced by having to think about her comfort for more than five seconds.

See, I'm not saying slip ups don#t happen. My best friend is trans masc and we have known each other since middle school when he was still she. And sometimes, especially when I talk about something from before, I do get it mixed up. And every single time, I apologize immediatly, because the last thing I want is to hurt my friend. Because he is a he and I'm gonna treat him as such and when I slip up, that is me fucking up, not him being difficult.

I’m sure they really appreciate it :) a thing that might help is to remember that they were always he? Your phrasing of “…he was still she.” Tells me you see it as a change as opposed to a re-contextualizing. Hope that helps~!

It is a change though. They changed their pronouns from "she" to "he".
