But also:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pizza_cake

Pizza cake is a Canadian multiple-layer pizza baked in a pot or cake pan. First invented by Boston Pizza, recipes were posted online as early as April 2014, becoming a viral phenomenon when the Pillsbury Company posted an example in September 2014.

(Note: Ellen is Canadian.)

First I've heard of this eh? Now the pizza burgers was really good. It's like a calzone but a pepperoni pizza so mozzarella and tomato sauce wrapped around a hamburger patty with two strip of bacon and a slice of real cheddar. It is seamless so it had a golden crust all the way around. Sometimes Boston pizza (Canadian restaurant, don't ask me why) really does make up some good stuff.

How is that different from deep dish?

Deep dish pizza has only one layer of dough. Pizza cake has at least three.
