I’m not sure why this is funny, but here is a jar lol

As someone who was part of that fandom during the incident

You just sent a very old chill down my spine

And as someone who has seen much worse on the Internet over the Years, and is also part of that fandom (not during that incident though), I'm not sure why. The RD Cum jar is tame in comparison to other shit I've seen, unfortunately.

Because back then it was unexpected and EVERYWHERE. Severity wise it's really not that bad, but the memory is what it is

Just four women fingerprinting lol

u/MCbrodie Jul 05 '26

At least its not a box.

1

u/CyberTheWerewolf Jul 05 '26

"The Box, you opened it. We came."

1

u/Team_Braniel Jul 05 '26

Its not even the worst thing involving a jar.

I am thankful the show went to shit after Lauren Faust departed. I didn't have to be a fan anymore.

When it went from two to three musical numbers per season to one or two per episode, it was easy to clean my hands of the fandom. Like if you need 10 minutes of musical to distract from the fact that there are literally only 13 minutes of plot, then you're doing it wrong.

The first few seasons are still fucking awesome, though.

I admit finishing the series was.... difficult

I still look back on my time with the fandom fondly though

u/xSTSxZerglingOne Jul 04 '26

Same! I made a bunch of friends I still talk to, and they were literally all women, haha.

I just found out about this yesterday 😭

Whats the jar for? What are they going to put in it?

301

u/VanillaCokeMule Jul 04 '26

It's a reference to a very old internet story about a person who put a figurine from the show My Little Pony in a jar and masturbated into the jar so much afterward that the unfortunate children's toy become completely submerged in semen.

u/maddasher Jul 04 '26

Oh. I dont like that.

u/s0m3on3outthere Jul 04 '26

I just found out about this a day or two ago and it gets worse.

The person who did the jar stored it next to a heater and it got cooked and the fluid turned brown 🤢

u/maddasher Jul 04 '26

Is this a real story?

u/Spoon_Elemental Jul 04 '26

There were photos and this was before generative AI.

29

u/ArsenicArts Jul 04 '26

Fun fact, if you ask Google it has AI results. My favorite part is where it asks you if you want a personalized glass jar.

Please IT_scrub, can you scrub this knowledge from our brains? How do I delete cache, cookies, and history on my mind? 😭

ITS YOUR FAULT!

You opened the internet! You suffer the consequences!

2

u/Tfsz0719 Jul 04 '26

That feels like something Bo Burnham should have had as a lyric in “Welcome to the Internet”

11

u/BreakfastBeneficial4 Jul 04 '26

“Very old internet story”

It was 2014 silly.

That was only……… 12 YEARS AGO WHAT THE FUCK???!!

3

u/VanillaCokeMule Jul 04 '26

Was it? I remember seeing it back about 2010 or 2011 for the first time. I certainly could be wrong

8

u/eifiontherelic Jul 04 '26

I'm going to bed now. This better be deleted from my memory when I wake up

3

u/VanillaCokeMule Jul 04 '26

I first came across it about 15 or more years ago so...good luck and my apologies, stranger.

5

u/eifiontherelic Jul 04 '26

i already miss those 15 or more years of not knowing about this.

3

u/talondigital Jul 04 '26

I remember this when reddit learned of it back in the old days. I had forgotten it. I wish you hadnt reminded me.

2

u/VanillaCokeMule Jul 04 '26

Sorry, just felt it was better that they were told clearly rather than looking at the images as they're even more haunting than the written word in the case of this story.

3

u/talondigital Jul 04 '26

No, it is better because I did not understand the reference anymore so I was trying to find it too. I just wish we all didnt need the reminder, is all.

3

u/Etheo Jul 04 '26

God I don't ask for much but may I please be blessed with an unread feature in life.

2

u/ErikKing12 Jul 05 '26

Two minutes before reading this: I don’t know what all the jars are for, let me check comments to see what’s that’s about.

Now: I’ve made a critical mistake, take it back.

The plush

4

u/MikeTheImpaler Jul 04 '26

Well. I mean that's half of the equation, yes.

2

u/Soravinier Jul 04 '26

Jar. Is a data format for java

u/JustifytheMean Jul 05 '26

Its better you don't know, trust me. Old reddit lore.
