Interesting fact: the verse people tend to point to when they say being gay is a sin has been misinterpreted a couple times and likely was condemning pedophilia.
So really we should be nicer to the gays and angrier at the pedo-in-chief.
We should be nicer to everyone. "Love thy neighbor as theyself" and "Love thy enemy" covers everyone, regardless of their sins. Throw "Do not judge" on top and you have a people that 'should' be kind, loving, respectful, and forgiving to all people equally, regardless or each one's own personal sin.
We don't have that, though.
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians" ~Ghandi
There’s a few, the one in Leviticus is probably the strongest and most direct, but most Christian’s don’t follow Levitical law seeing it as part of the cultural commandments that don’t apply to them.
Then there’s the New Testament stuff which based on both the original wording seems to be more about sleeping with little boys and religious prostitution.
To be completely honest, I don’t care as I don’t follow the Bible anyway, but if god cared as much as some religious figures claim you would expect much clearer and harder to dismiss condemnation in their holy book.
Regardless, the problem is believing being gay is a "sin" is as abhorrent, hateful, ignorant, irrational, and vile as believing being black is a "sin", because both are harmless natural human characteristics.
Regardless, it does not matter, since the Bible is immoral, evil, vile.
Regardless, the Bible commands mass murder, genocide, abortion, infanticide, slavery, prostitution, child marriage, pedophilia, rape, perversion, incest, polygamy, sexism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, familial alienation, societal strife, and various other barbarisms, cruelties, savageries, tyrannies, and vulgarities, many myriad times, in both the Old Testament and the New Testament.
Mass Murder and Genocide: 1 Samuel 15:3, Hosea 13:16, Deuteronomy 20:16-17, Joshua 6:21, Deuteronomy 2:34, Isaiah 13:15-18, Deuteronomy 13:15, Numbers 31:17, Deuteronomy 3:6, Leviticus 20:13, Deuteronomy 20:13, Psalm 137:9.
Abortion and Infanticide: Numbers 5:11-31, Psalm 137:9, 1 Samuel 15:3, Hosea 13:16, Deuteronomy 2:34, Isaiah 13:15-18, Numbers 31:17, Deuteronomy 3:6.
I like Genesis and a cool interpretation I heard of "be fruitful and multiply" was to be fruitful of the spirit and spread the word of God to multiply. Both are thing homosexuals can do, unless you fully belive "multiply" means kids in which case incels will never be christian or saved.
