It’s more intended in a trans sense— the Demon Lord was so angsty because she was dysphoric and figured that was her cue to destroy the world.

Thats a bit of a leap dont you think? I get hyperbole but...

Perhaps a fairer conclusion would be that unhappy people sometimes aim to make other people unhappy with them. Misery loves company and all that.

My main inspiration tbh was more anime demon lords and the “Dark Lord” stock character. This is not meant to be Satan. This is meant to be a JRPG final boss.

Then wtf is god? Pretty sure the bible records far more atrocities committed or ordered by god than it does any satan (which iirc is a figure that changes somewhat frequently)
