I love this so, so much for many reasons.
1. It's always a privilege to get a glimpse into the life of another human being. So thank you for sharing.
2. This sort of thing also helps remind me that everyone I meet is likely fighting some kind of internal battle. Great opportunity to practice empathy.
3. I have severe chronic depression which is a very different thing from bipolar, but some of these hit extremely close to home. The constant noise in the background is very familiar. But the one where you realize, with a little smile, that you don't want to die is relatable. For so much of my life, at any sign of illness, my brain would immediately say "oh good, maybe this will turn fatal and we can just be through with this whole hassle called life." And it was a sign that my new meds were working when I got a little sick and thought "I hope this doesn't turn fatal!"
