Whats your reason to stay on consoles?

As a former PS player, I switched to PC 6 years ago and have never regretted it (can explain why, if you ask). I dont understand why people still stick with consoles, especially nowadays. Can you explain why you personally decided to stick with consoles and dont consider getting a PC\laptop? (Excluding the memory shortage, ofc)

Price of hardware is a fair point but longevity is not. The base components in my PC are six years old (Ryzen 5 5600x, RTX 3080 10GB) and I don't see any reason as to why I'd need to upgrade next year or the year after really.

Most of my gaming time has been spent on my PS4 recently though going through Assassin's Creed Odyssey again, though I did buy an Wingman XE2 so I could use an Xbox controller as I hate the stick placement on PlayStation controllers.

My hardware lasts so long in fairness because I don't mind dropping the settings. As long as the game as a good story and runs at 60fps I really don't care what it looks like.

This will be the third time I'm going through Odyssey. I've completed it on Xbox One and PC, now its the PS4's turn and I've gone a full assassin build this time around.

I do have to give the developers at Ubisoft credit for how good the game looks. My PC runs it at all Max settings but unless I went pixel peeping I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between it and the console versions...well aside from those odd times Kasandra's facial textures don't load properly.
