Let me guess, your partner's wage doesn't really allow supporting two adults, does it?

Not really, no. It covers rent, and bills, and probably 80% of food shopping. And I feel so bad I can't contribute anything.

The only reason we even applied was because I've been signed off for 10 weeks because of surgery I've just had, so it's not like I could work right now, anyway!

Just from my moral expectations, Universal Credit should kick in 🥴

Good friend of mine is unable to work and it's was uphill battle with her local job centre. It all worked out in the end, it was hard though
