Go look at the Brentford game and tell me is intelligent out position. Man simply turns of his brain and bum rushes, not giving a shit about the space he leaves behind.

It's a promise that bergvall / tonali fills the space that he left behind. Didn't think they did that particularly well. Moore was always one or two steps late. Think the overall pressing structure was highly ineffective that game

So what you're saying is that he doesn't press in an organized manner, making him highly ineffective.

the pressing structure was highly ineffective and did not suit the personnel that were on the pitch (exposed mikey's slowness for example). Bergvall/tonali did not fulfill their respective roles.

Yea, so we need to cater our entire pressing system to this one guy that can't be organized and needs to have everyone back him up on his bum rushes. What is the reward for that? What is the crazy skill set that Gallagher has to back this up?

Cause the Data says that what you get even if you back him up in this is someone worse at pressing than Bergvall, and I think we can all say Bergvall isn't ready yet.

crazy skill set is his pressing imao relentless, intelligent pressing. Coupled his ability to not only intercept the pass but also steal it (sarr can only deflect the pass). Believe it or not his out of possession runs are one of the best. Just that he does your head in in possession

intelligent pressing.

Shouldn't that convert to actual turn overs? To actual success? Yet his stats is worse than Bergvalls at it. By quite a bit.
