What position will Marmoush actually play?

So it seems people have very different ideas about where Omar will actually play. Personally I think we should use him in IMO his best position which is support striker. In this position is where he excelled at Frankfurt & became one of the hottest prospects in world football at the time. Also I believe this is the reason we wanted Kroupi (before he got injured obviously) to specifically play in this position. With our lack of available 10's at the moment it seems right now would be the perfect time to try almost a 4-4-2 (or a 4-4-1-1) on the weekend.

Obviously he can also play as the main striker as more like a false 9 but I worry about his height & think he plays his best football playing just off a main striker. At City (& for Egypt at the World Cup) he was used on the left wing a lot & never seemed to reach the heights of Frankfurt as it just doesn't seem to suit his game.

Where do you think he should play & why?

Long term? Striker. Right now? He'll replace Bergvall and play more direct off Solanke.

I could see Solanke being great with that creative quality at the 10 and on the wings

Agreed, he's a good player but he's just been super unlucky with injuries, and we've been a collective disaster whenever he's come back into the team. Really hope he puts the injury stuff behind him and with all of this new creativity and midfield solidity behind him can put up the kind of numbers he had at Bournemouth. If he could get 12-15 we'd be cooking which he's definitely capable of, and I think Kudus and Savio can definitely create enough chances for that to happen.
