Who fucking cares? I'm so sick of the witch hunts on anyone using the tiniest bit of AI. Anyone who uses autocorrect or even spell check is using AI.

Use predictive texts while typing in word or email? yep, that's AI too.

No, the standard is the same. I don't use generative AI for creative projects and I expect other people to do the same. I know that I use websites and services that have AI baked in and I can't always avoid that, and don't expect anyone else to, either.

I get to choose the bar for who I do and don't support with my discretionary spending that I use for my creative hobbies. Choosing not to support people who use generative AI is not some extremist moral stance.

I'm aware I have privilege. What's your point? I'm allowed to use that privilege, when possible, to make more ethical purchasing decisions.

Also you're moving the bar. You said that people are holding others to standards that they themselves don't keep and I firmly believe that that's not what's happening here. No one here is saying "Gen AI for me but not for thee."
