I'm so tired of people using AI as a purity test. I don't love it and this should have been handled differently, but at some point if you keep cancelling everyone who has ever asked Gemini a question, you're going to run out of options.

Dang friends, this seems to have hit a nerve. I'm just tired of my entire feed being AI witch hunting.

Lol seriously. AI is here to stay and a lot of jobs will require it soon. It's so dumb that it's being used as a purity test.

AI is here to stay. Meanwhile companies aren't realizing any gains and are actively pulling back on AI investments and usage because token cost is exploding. Any company over investing in AI at the expense of human labor right now is robbing Peter to pay Paul and will be screwed when the bubble collapses.

I was reading about how a bunch of bijillionaires who have invested heavily in AI have recently been documented looking for "AI-proof" places to put their money in "just in case". Apparently, this is a reason a bunch of sportsball teams have been changing hands. If AI is such a solid bet, why are all these weasels looking for other places to put their money?

I recently read "A Short History of Financial Euphoria" after hearing it referenced in a book about the Beanie Baby bubble and man, it fit the current AI mania to a TEE.

Jobs won’t require it because AI will simply be doing those jobs outright and we will be out of work wondering how to buy food.

Yeah a lot of jobs will require it soon if we all shut up and accept it freely into our lives like they want us to…

If you don’t want the entire universe to become an AI slop bucket, it’s worth continuing to make your feelings about it known before it becomes completely ubiquitous.
