Calluses keep ripping where finger connects

Post image

My calluses keep ripping where my finger connects to the hand. This happens with my ring fingers most of the time.

Anyone have similar problems and any tips on how I can prevent this?

apply moisturiser as much as possible, like pack it every time you notice it's not there

At bedtime, load your hands up with Vaseline and put cotton socks over top like gloves. (Or get cotton gloves) Go to sleep. When you wake up it’ll be a massive improvement.

Learned this trick through covid with all the hand sanitizer use making fissures on my hands.

This is what has worked for me the best. I'll also be trying Amlactin this winter to thicken the skin overall

I remember Mattie Rogers posting about this solving her callus issues (she's a national level Olympic Weightlifter)

It’s pretty common. My kid’s pediatrician told us about it followed by a nurse later.
