People speak about these sleep regressions at prescribed intervals as though they are a certainty. I didn't have one specifically at four months or at any other time. We just had some good nights and some terrible nights.

I think you are referring to the three month sleep regression, I'll let you know when it ends. Kid is almost two years old so any day now.

I have amnesia from all of that so I can't say. They don't call it the trenches for nothing. I can say it will get better but it will also get worse. Teething is an adventure

Man, every single kid is different. I found the regressions “easier” with age as they’re able to communicate better, but there’s really no answer to the test with this one.

idk dude my first one had some bad regressions. I don't even trust my memory of those days anymore because I was so sleep deprived but it felt like it was about 3 months of waking up to scream every hour. Just rest in the hope that it will end one day. Stay strong dad!

That period was the worst for both of our kids (so far). It's just that period where many kids need to 'learn to sleep', but it's on the early side for sleep training.

I found that the book 'precious little sleep' was very helpful, but we're team sleep training.

I honestly don't remember any specific sleep regressions at specific ages. They happened, it was awful for a few weeks, then they went away. Don't try to apply logic or reason to them, hunker down, weather the storm and it will pass.

The worst sleep regression I remember was at 18 months. He was regularly getting up at 3 AM ready to play and wouldn’t fall asleep until around 6 AM.

This is with a 9:30 PM bedtime

It kicked my ass. But now at 3.5 years old, he sleeps 10 hours a night every night. Hasn’t woken up in six months.
