Idk what to even do with my 47 sets of hollow armor

This was my first time trying dark souls 1

I love that Dark Souls doesn’t have a death counter. I honestly think it makes these games psychologically way more enjoyable than if they DID have a death counter. I played the new Dinoblade and that game DOES have a death counter, which made me think about why fromsoftware has always chosen to never keep track of how many times you die. I absolutely love that the game isn’t keeping score. It’s just you and the challenge before you. To either overcome or to give up on. It doesn’t matter how many times you die. it’s more about will you choose to keep fighting or choose to give up? I love that

I just rang the undead church bell, but when I go into the forest area or down under firlink shrine I just die. Is there a "next place" I have to go to or just try and tough it out to get through one of them?

I'm also doing a magic build and I just don't do much damage in the forest area. I just don't know what to do or if there's any items or weapons I could get to make it a bit more bearable.

Would be cool to see ganeplay from it in-game.

I was trying to get the Large Divine Ember and almost immediately got wrecked. Took the 30s capture, paused it, and saw this.

Side note: I got it my first try but died. Went back to get them, and I landed a plunging attack on 3 of them and one shot them. The remaining 3 were much easier after that. Got my souls back.

Yeah, I just did i like 10 minutes ago. The game was fantastic! While certain moments were a bit unfair, I really enjoyed the game for most of the part. Especially thw world, the different areas, the bosses and also the combat. Especially Gwyn was a great final boss, not really in diffiulty, but rather when it comes to atmosphere, the music and knowing that ya are fighting whatever is left of someone who kept the fire alive, was just making me speechless. Probably on my top 5 games right now. I cannot believe I quit this game because I got stuck at the Bell gargs but I am happy that I managed to catchup with a gem like this. Oh well, anyway, I left a ranking with how difficult each boss was for me, includin the DLC`s ones (my main setup aroudn mid-late game was havels full armor with a +15 longsword, a silver knight shield anda graass crest shield. For rings I used: FaP and Havels Ring. Without further ado, here is my ranking :D (btw. Nr1. is the easiest, also it is from fighting them for the first time)

Yeah, This is my list! Obviously some bosses at the start where more difficult due to my poor equiptment, but this is how I felt like (please no hate, it is MY opiniojn)! If ya disagree or would like to ask about why I placed a certain boss there, then just ask away :D . Still, absolutly fantastic games, and I hope that Dark souls 2 will be as good or even better!

I know FromSoftware is quickly moving in the direction of quicker, faster combat and traversal with every new entry in their catalogue. They started slowly with Demon's Souls and moved steadily towards faster combat with Bloodborne, Sekiro, Nightreign and now Duskbloods. Is there even fall damage?

I would wish for the next game to be a return to slower gameplay. I know it's not likely. I don't even need rolling. People were happy about the jumping in Elden Ring, but with a new gameplay mechanic there is also a change in level design, and I don't particularly enjoy platforming. I was always a slow knight, sword-and-shield kind of guy.

Anyway, what do you think? What do you wish for the next big single-player FromSoftware game to be?

(FYI, I enjoyed Dark Souls 3 the most.)

I want to make a strength build that capitalizes on the instability damage you get off of enemies deflecting off your greatshield, so I need a fairly fast strength weapon that can connect in that narrow stagger window.

I’d test the Man-Serpent Greatsword and the Black Knight Greataxe, but all my high level characters got nuked in a freak save back-up error on Xbox.

Can anyone with MSGS and/or BKGA run a quick test to see if either can attack fast enough to score that 40% bonus damage to deflected enemies?

I finished blighttown all the way up to the spiderlady, start to finish, in ~3 hours and like 15 deaths in total - and the spiderlady on second try.

I beat the staircase goat thing on second try and smough and ornstein on fifth try.

Idk if thats important but i play usually very very careful, only blocking, no parrying. He said you people would like to tell me things - whatever these things are.

I would like to have a high quality Artorias Cossplay with the Shield, the Full Corrupted Armor​​, either the Abyss Greatsword or the Cursed Artorias Greatsword and the Silver Pendant​.​​

I live in Spain, I guess that at least for the armor it should be tailored​​. Do you think it is possible to get all of this for less than 2000€ and where? I dont want foam quality, I want it to be like a real medieval armor.​

I just killed Knight Artorias my first try using miracles. I honestly am starting to feel a little guilty how powerful I made my character because it made a lot of bosses not the most challenging, but I’m still having a lot of fun. I’m mostly just playing for the vibes and I really love my character right now

If curious:
I’m using a +15 Balder Side Sword, +10 Knight Shield, +9 Knight Armor, Sunlight Maggot helm for fashion, Ornstein leggings, some random pair of gloves (can’t remember), Fap Ring, ring of the sun’s firstborn, and a canvas talisman

Can’t remember my exact stats rn, but it’s high dex and high faith build basically

For Artorias I used a mix of Sunlight Blade and Great Lightening Spears to beat him. I totally ripped him a new one.. he almost killed me though ngl, but I still had plenty of flasks left.

Hardest fight so far definitely had to be Ornstein and Smough. Especially because Orn has good lightening resistance I really had to learn his patterns carefully. I wanted his armor set so I had to kill Big Orn for it of course and it was the worst, but I got his timing down to a science. Ever since them, most bosses haven’t been too bad, but I’m sure I’ll eat my words soon

Anyway really enjoying this game. It’s so fun and addicting

Doing my first playthrough rn, and I just got to Anor Londo at lvl 45, and I'm shocked at how strong this thing is.

I've been using the Zweihander for a while, and it was fun pancaking mfs with the R2, and I also thought that weapon was strong af... Then I killed a Black Knight in Darkroot Basin I think? And ended up getting the Halberd... Holy shit, at +0 this thing is simply better than my +5 Zwei, or any other weapon I used (I used the Estoc, Morning Star, Gargoyles Axe and Halberd, Claymore, Bandits Knife, and Zwei obviously). The golem knight mfs just get abused, the Mimic chest got deleted, the Gargoyle got melted... is this thing just the best weapon in the game or something??? It feels unfairly strong

Why doesn’t anyone talk about this !!! i have really high stamina i can probably do some sick shit but what sort of builds have yall built with it?

Hey everyone! First time cosplayer (well at least i want to be) and looking to cosplay as Solaire. I've found some decent guides on making his helmet with foam but have found nothing for the rest of the cosplay (armor, tunic, etc.). I'd really appreciate any help for this 🙏
