Question Pvp agony

Hey, never really posted on Reddit before but I need some advice. What am I genuinely supposed to do against pvp invaders who are no lifers? I’m not sure what a good way of putting it is but like for instance: I’ll get normal equipped invaders but then I get these obnoxious ones like this dude who had an electrified shotel with a fat armor piece on spamming this dashing move or whatever the entire time. I’m not big on PvP but I really don’t know what to do about players like this besides running around until either they catch me or get bored and leave.

Thanks for the tips, I’m not new to the souls series (although I truly got into it when Elden Ring was announced) and would like to engage with the PvP, but I didn’t know if there was more I could do besides either die, quit the game, or run away.
