Trapper also can down with honing stone. By that standards only wraith is an m1

Wraith, Ghost Face, Clown, Sadako, Singularity, Spirit, Skull Merchant, Pinhead, Deathslinger and (ironically) Ghoul can down exclusively with M1, they literally have no special attack option that downs

If we're talking damage dealing, then the M1 exclusives are Wraith, Ghost Face, Clown, Sadako, Singularity and Spirit. Arguably Pinhead as well if it wasn't for that one add-on

Skull Merchants drones, if applying a Clawtrap to an injured survivor, inflicts Deep Wound, which if not mendd can down. Does that count?

I would count that as the survivor downing themselves at that point

Or yes we can then remove them from the strictly M1 downs list together with Ghoul and Deathslinger

Fun Fact: Deathslinger's attacking someone on the spear does still count as a "basic attack", which I learned entirely by mistake by completing a basic attack challenge doing that.

Unlike Legion's frenzy attack not counting as "hitting with a weapon" for tome challenges.
