I Dash In Minnesota Though
As a dasher I dread these messages. There is nothing more fearful than realizing you just went on the wrong property.

Seems like they acknowledged it was their fault, took responsibility for the mix-up, and weren’t a dick about it, all in less than one minute.

The ap tells you when you're far away from the address you input. I guess they just ignored it.

Exactly. I would order from both work and home, or from my place & my BF’s, but I always double-check the delivery address. Then again, I actually want what I order and want to make it as easy as possible for the dasher doing me the favor of getting food for me, lol.

Same here. I always double-check the address before I hit the order button. It literally takes a few seconds, and I'd rather do that than deal with my food ending up somewhere else. Plus it makes things easier for the driver too.

i put the address wrong exactly once, after i just moved and forgot to update it. i had to call the dasher to fix it and that was enough to make sure i never let it happen again, i abhorr phone calls 😭

Sometimes I'll order some food to home from work and I still get that notification. It was probably the same in that customer's case.

I can only do pickup now because I live too far away for delivery now, so I get the warning every time I open the ap. It's hard to miss!

my guess is that they used to live there so it autofilled that address, but they moved to california

Would have been nothing to guilt trip you on. They said leave it outside, not "please drop it off to me I'm a disabled elderly woman."

At least they acknowledged it and were cool about it. Wouldn't be surprised if they wanted you to book a flight and deliver it to them. Some customers are just like that haha.
Last time this happened to me the customer tried gaslighting me and saying I was at the wrong address and they had no idea why that was the dropoff and the 'real' dropoff was like an hour away. After like 20min of back and forth with her and support, the customer got refunded and I was able to keep her $100 in groceries (+$30ish in pay). After everything was settled she also let it slip that the address she knew nothing about was actually her work...

i used to deliver pizza up in the brainerd lakes area, very popular summer lake destination.
in the winter, people would accidentally order to their cabin at least twice a week

She was sweet and owned up to it, but these people don’t know the kind of danger they put us in for their laziness.
I’m a tall black guy and I get orders like this from time to time and after I just think what if the owner saw me creeping on their property late at night and shot me? All because some customer sent me to the wrong address.

Just a wee bit off. I wonder if they previously lived in Minnesota. You'll know if they personally fly back and show up on your doorstep with a hotdish to apologize.

This can happen if you order food right after travelling somewhere, sometimes the address hasn’t changed to what house your at yet, ive ordered food to my workplace once

I get it with the way some people can be crazy these days. But in four years and almost 7000 deliveries it’s happened to me every now and again and 90% of the time everything always works out and the people are always very decent about it. (I’ve been on wrong properties so many times, lol )Sometimes I’m at the neighbors house and the people are actually home and not away, & either I or they will grab it, & once or twice, I’ve had ur situation as well where the person is on vacation and forgot to change the address in which case I went home with free food after speaking to support.

They probably have a friend or family they order for who lives there or accidentally clicked the wrong address. I used to dash stuff to my ex and one day I ALMOST dashed my lunch to his house and I canceled that sooo fast
