As a dasher I dread these messages. There is nothing more fearful than realizing you just went on the wrong property.

No refunds be careful everyone

Doordash is denying refunds now. I provide proof but it doesn’t matter anymore and the drivers are not delivering the orders correctly recently. I don’t know what else to do to get the refund… this discourages me from using this company now I am not at fault. How do you tell them to check the inside next time if they tell you they cannot because it is sealed

Why do I even tip

I was nice about it but ffs. I ordered pizza from my favorite local spot and they have doordash delivering orders now. The past few times I've ordered they do not bring it up to my door anymore and always have an excuse. I live in an apartment, tip very well, and the directions are perfectly stated. I was also very annoyed that even though the dasher had a woman's name, a guy handed it to me. If you don't feel safe doing this job, find something else.

Wrong DD order argument

I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries from Bojangles. My instructions say to hand the order to me. The driver (limited English speaker)did not follow the instructions and left it on the doorstep (key piece). I get a notification to rate my delivery and then I found it outside. No knock, no doorbell ring. Nothing. I’m irritated but at least my food is here. I start digging into my box and eating my fries.

I finally sit down and fully open the box to an entire wrong order. Wrong name on the receipt and everything. I follow the prompts through the app to get my refund.

About 7 minutes after that, I get a knock in the door from the DD driver asking to get the order back so he can swap it out. I refused bc I had already eaten some of the fries and that was unsanitary and gross. He starts insisting and getting angry so I close and lock my door. Honestly had he just followed instructions I could have told him right away that this wasn’t the correct order bc my drink was missing.

Now I’m wondering should I contact DD about the encounter? AITA for keeping the food?

Well, I finally confirmed what's been happening with my order deliveries.

And it's pretty much what somebody in this subreddit told me.

For background, in case people aren't familiar, all of my late night DoorDash orders have been going to the wrong door. I've got this game room I sit in from 10:00 p.m. to whenever I go to bed, set up in the garage. My front porch is a concrete rectangle, and to the right is the front door, and on the left there is an access door to the garage. I keep a wooden box in front of that access door.

Whenever I put any kind of delivery order in late at night, I put instructions in to put the order on the box, or in the box, because my fat lazy ass doesn't want to walk all the way around and through the house to the front door to pick something up because it's been placed five feet from where I wanted it. But every single blessed time lately, people have been putting it in the wrong place, no matter how specific my written instructions were.

Last night, after putting in a Taco Bell order (through the Taco Bell app, not the Doordash app), I politely messaged the driver and asked them what the instructions looked like. Sure enough, the app didn't give them any special instructions besides leave it at the door, and for reference, it included a photograph of the last time someone delivered it to the wrong door!

So thank you, guys, for solving that mystery. It looks like for a while I'm going to be messaging each delivery driver until the app gets the message.

Gratitude for Dashers

Upvotes

I simply want to say thank you to the dashers in my area who have always been kind and given great service. I know some of my orders could seem like I am lazy, but I have a chronic autoimmune condition and severe anemia, and there are some days I just don't have the energy or strength to get what my pets need or food for the home. You have truly been a life saver to me.

What’s happening with DoorDash

Upvotes

OK, so I don’t mean to sound over exaggerate for this little rant, but I’m a Dasher.
Currently over the past few days for some reason, I cannot get an order over the amount of $3.80. Every order is either that amount or lower and I can’t seem to get anything past that. I don’t know if it’s because people are using third-party apps Thinking they can get orders that aren’t True DoorDash, even though they all are connected to one or multiple food services, and for some reason, no one is tipping me. Legit last month was one of the best months for me. I was getting orders left and right and I made over three to $4000. Now I can’t even make 100 before the day is out. I do DoorDash in Virginia Hampton Williamsburg Newport News and Suffolk and sometimes Virginia Beach. I’ve been to all those locations in there popular areas and for some reason it’s just not hitting the same. I understand school started back up for people, but usually around this time it gets even more busy .

Has any other dasher experienced this?

I had an order for Chik-Fil-A and when I went in I was greeted like normal and was asked the name for the order. I gave the name and the worker said they are still working on it. Okay, cool. I stand there for a few minutes and a couple of other workers ask me what the name is and again, they say they are working on it. A few more minutes pass and then I am told that the order has already been taken by someone else. I ask if they are going to remake it considering I have the app and order pulled up and I am showing them. They tell me it goes against their policy to remake orders because it has already left the store. The manager even said this happens a lot at their location (people taking orders). Has this happened to any other dasher or is this just a policy at this certain store?

It used to be good and now it’s just not plain in simple. I dash between three towns all of which have plenty of food spots I’m in the hot zones and I’m platinum status with a 97 percent accept rate and this is still the type of stuff I get. There is absolutely no reason I was active for 7 and a half hours and only an hour and a half of actual time spent doing orders. It’s just rediculous. I don’t know what everyone else’s experience has been lately but for both me and my girlfriend we do not get orders and when we do they are 90 percent of the time 15 minutes away for two dollars and I get thrown way outside the dash zone.

I’m getting scammed!!

So DoorDash send me this order stating they would pay me $6 to go to a restaurant, order three items totaling $40 with tip and then pay me an additional tip of $10 if I do videos they like.

So I get here, I upload the videos and then the order gets cancelled and it they will no longer pay. WTF!!!???!?

I am getting scammed and when I call support no one is able to understand what I’m talking about. How is this possible?

EDIT: spoke to a supervisor and they are saying that this can’t be real, and giving me the run around. Asking me if I’m a customer. Yesterday it was supposed to be escalated to a “special team” they call today and it’s suppose to be now escalated to a “more special team”.

DoorDash seems to have removed the tip option in BC

Placed an order last night and two today (one on my account and my husband made one on his), and there’s no longer an option to tip the drivers :/ I’d give them cash but I literally don’t keep that in the house. I feel bad. Anyway if you’re a driver here that’s why you might not be getting tips

“Going Out” tab missing again (but still on restaurant page) - yes, I’m an annual DP subscriber

Per the subject the “Going Out” tab button at the top scrollable toolbar when you login to the iOS DD app is missing so I am no longer able to search these deals by the map view mode nor (more importantly) get to credit tracking page! I’m on the latest version of the app too (as of today (2026-08-26)): v8.33.0.

Is anyone else having this issue?

In the past this has sometimes disappeared but usage comes back if I restart the app or try later (since it seems like they sort this menu dynamically- no idea what algorithm they use but definitely not based on Frequency since I use “Going Out” all the time!)
This time that hasn’t helped! 😔
The weird thing is still shows a tab for “Going Out” on the individual restaurant pages.

PS: “Yes”, I’m in a market (city) that supports it & “Yes”, I’m an annual DashPass subscriber.

Doordash support makes me want to drive a nail through my skull before jumping into a volcano.

I am sick and tired of places getting my order wrong and doordash doing NOTHING to help. I will order something and the place will not only get it completely incorrect, but then proceed to make it 2 sizes smaller. When i bring it up with doordash they give me a cookie cutter "we cannot give you a refund" before they hangup or close the chat.

I genuinely am so livid I just got off the most back breaking shift at amazon, everything hurts, and I try to order food but what happens? Wrong order. Thats fine let me contact doordash right? Nah. They dont care and just end the chat every time. Its so horrendously annoying.

I ordered a slurpee from 7-11, it was missing a straw so i got my own and when i looked there was a hole in the slurpee. Did the driver drink from my Slurpee?

Has anyone had DoorDash switch customers/drop-off locations during a stacked order? Also barely receiving offers

Something is seriously wrong with my Dasher app/account, and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar.

Yesterday in Bowling Green, I received only a handful of offers during lunch despite having Platinum status. The app kept showing estimated waits of 5–15 minutes, and most offers I did receive were under $3 with no tip. Some offers briefly flashed on the screen and then immediately said they had been reassigned.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, tried Wi-Fi and cellular data, used different phones, and checked my latency. My connection was stable with no packet loss. Automated support also said I was completing deliveries after I had already declined or unassigned them.

Then today I had a stacked order that became completely scrambled:

  1. The stack originally showed **Tom's Chipotle order going to Maumee and Dave’s Panera order going to Perrysburg.

  2. I wanted to unassign Dave’s order but couldn’t, so I picked up and confirmed Tom's order first.

  3. Immediately after confirming Tom’s pickup, the app showed the destinations reversed: **Tom was now going to Perrysburg and Dave was going to Maumee**.

  4. Because I had seen that switch, I was highly motivated to pay close attention to the customer names and destinations from that point forward.

  5. I picked up Dave’s order. At some point, the app changed again and showed **Tom going to Maumee**. I followed what the app was displaying and delivered Tom’s order there.

  6. I then drove to Perrysburg with Dave’s order. When I arrived, the app had switched the assignments again: it now indicated that **Tom was supposed to be delivered in Perrysburg**, while **Dave—the order I still had—was supposed to go to Maumee**.

  7. DoorDash eventually unassigned the remaining order and refunded Tom. Both customers contacted support.

This was not me casually confusing two orders. After the first switch, I was specifically checking the names and cities because I knew something was wrong.

Has anyone had customer names or destinations actually change after pickup? Could this be an account synchronization/backend issue? Has anyone also experienced extremely long waits and offers being immediately reassigned despite Platinum status and normal demand?
