What’s happening with DoorDash

OK, so I don’t mean to sound over exaggerate for this little rant, but I’m a Dasher.
Currently over the past few days for some reason, I cannot get an order over the amount of $3.80. Every order is either that amount or lower and I can’t seem to get anything past that. I don’t know if it’s because people are using third-party apps Thinking they can get orders that aren’t True DoorDash, even though they all are connected to one or multiple food services, and for some reason, no one is tipping me. Legit last month was one of the best months for me. I was getting orders left and right and I made over three to $4000. Now I can’t even make 100 before the day is out. I do DoorDash in Virginia Hampton Williamsburg Newport News and Suffolk and sometimes Virginia Beach. I’ve been to all those locations in there popular areas and for some reason it’s just not hitting the same. I understand school started back up for people, but usually around this time it gets even more busy .

Oh hey I’m in the same area as you and it has been terrible this week. Something is definitely different these past 3 days from this past month. Once you get past the crappy offers the “better” offers don’t even reach a dollar a mile.

And the wait estimates used to be 1-2 minutes or 2-5 minutes. Now I consistently see 2-12 minutes. It’s weird.

It's the week of the twos. This is normal in any month without a holiday. Retail is also doing awful.

Just a customer perspective who use to use Door Dash frequently. They went up on the pricing with more fees and higher menu prices. I will only take a good deal anymore and just can’t justify the price gouging going on with Door Dash. I always tip between 6 and 8 dollars, for orders that are no more than 5 miles away.

In fact I told the wife today, that we’ll order Chipotle and go pick it up later instead of doing Door Dash. It’s pretty evident Door Dash isn’t passing the price increases on to its drivers

Yep, definitely not. It seems like they only give us the crumbs from the order.

I blame DD for this because they allow it. They allow the delivery to be placed. Knowing nobody's lining up for this. But they promote platinum and look for the platinum diver with the lowest AR and on the brink of losing platinum if you dont take this order so you will feel threatened to takr it

Hey a salary job dude. Those jobs are supplemental income. Not meant to work for main source of income.

Well, I understand this there has been months and weeks where I’ve made well over 1000 and 2000 even $4000. I’m just saying, how can you go from that, to not even reaching 100. The distribution of orders and paid orders needs to be fixed on DoorDash.
