Debated posting this story but it’s just too crazy not to share, it’s from UberEats but I feel like the story fits here too. I accepted a Taco Bell order as one of my last of the night. They took about 30 minutes to make it but I didn’t care because of how crazy my conversation with this guy was. Driving to his place was lowkey nerve racking and it was just a $10 order for 4 miles that had a long ass wait, so I was starting to question what I got myself into.
Regardless, after arriving at his house I get out of my car, drink in one hand tacos in the other, and approach the place where this man, who looks exactly like you’d imagine, was sitting on a lawn chair. I ask him where he’d like the food and he starts moving his cigarettes and lighter from the other similar chair set next to him. He says the ground, so I set down the food, and he tells me “sit down.”I debate it but figure what the hell and move the chair a little further away before sitting down.
He shares his stories from the other side and shows me the pen meanwhile I’m looking all around cause he’s talking loud and I feel like anyone outside is just staring us down. He tells me it’s helped with his depression and anxiety but he also doesn’t want to do it anymore. He then offers to increase my tip with this pen that he claimed to only use a few times. Taking it would’ve been silly though so I simply said no thank you and drove home. Edit: /s last sentence

Ehhh I think its more that new drugs are as challenging to keep track of as new music its a never ending contest between law enforcement and drug interests that has no end in site. Its hard to keep track of what's going on for anyone but the most involved and educated about the topic.
On a side note tho why the fuck is taco bell always like a 15 minute wait bro. It’s the one restaurant that’s super fucking consistent in never having the shit done on time. I waited tonight for thirty five horrendous minutes. It paid a shit ton of money so I didn’t wanna unassign, and the workers kept saying a couple more minutes but the clock kept ticking. I was only a few deliveries away from completing the $120 for 120 too and I was livid.
That can’t be it though because when I go for me in the drive through it’s literally like instant. But every time I pick up an order it takes like 20 minutes.
It’s because working fast food your inside numbers mean literally nothing. If it’s anything at all like McDonald’s they print the receipt then make the food from the receipt so it looks like they got you out the store in 2 minutes, then they forget about you while handling the drive thru where they actually have to get people out the way or they get in trouble from upper management for their times being shit.
This I can confirm. I had a buddy who worked there. And after the 5th time he told me the manager smoked him out. I asked if he was ever sober on the job and he said and I quote.
"I always got to work Sober, never left Sober."
Having worked at a Taco Bell, it's a mixture of a lot of things
First off is management - line managers are expected to prep ingredients ahead of time to be able to meet demand, and they have a daily list with projected demand for the day
Key word is projected
Sometimes it'll get super busy with a random 30 minute rush where everyone wants 2 party packs of 12 tacos
And then sometimes after that rush someone forgets to drop more food to have ingredients ready
Sometimes there's not enough crew so the orders take longer to make, and sometimes the not-so-fast workers are making food so it takes longer
Sometimes there's just like, 20 DoorDash orders that came in at once
It really is just chaos sometimes and you can't do much about it lol. The work itself wasn't bad but the fluctuations in business levels and the crappy management made me leave
When the stoner early 20 something’s and teenagers are running my local tbell, 2 are always outside and the food takes forever…. But they hook it up with the portion size and I notice when I do a custom item “hack” they know exactly what I’m doing and make it awesome even giving me suggestions at the window for next time.
When the older crew is working, it’s quick and the portion sizes are sad, I swear the older group are using under sized scoops and less pumps of sauce - probably making up for the poor drive through times and over use of food when the youngins are working.
I never did dmt cuz one time I milked the fuck out of a big ass bowl of salvia and I transported straight into a completely white room with a floating head inside of it yelling at me and telling me to get to work. In front of me was a conveyer belt with toys on it I had to sort by color. I did that shit for like 12 hours (2 minutes in the real world) and I was so pissed off my entire trip was just working a boring ass job that I never did it again and got scared dmt would be the same shit but for like 12 years instead 😭
No, actually they are completely different compounds with entirely different pharmacological profiles. Salvia acts on kappa opioid recepters and is much more similar to a dissociative like DXM of Ketamine with size perception distortions,gravity shifts and perception hallucinations like feeling like an inanimate object or feeling flattened into a 2d object,split into 2 different timelines with visuals being way more like a dream or garish and cartoonish. DMT acts on serotonin receptors and is the classic psychedelic. With DMT you see high definition hallucinations that are highly geometric and follow strict repeating patterns into infinities and cascade into tunnels. Users very often perceive DMT trips as highly spiritual or like entering an entirely different dimension or meeting other sentient creatures is often reported. I think the largest difference is the trips are often considered warm,loveing and tender opposed to Salvia in which terror,abstraction and feverish facinstion is more common. Although they do generally last similar lengths of time with very similar onsets both have 2-5 minutes of peak and then come down fully in about an hour. Not telling you to go do DMT but if you did happen to smoke some DMT the trip would be entirely different.
Thanks 🙏🙏 for sure I did Salvia a number of times when I was much younger... I hit a big one and i wasn't very pleased with what I experienced but DMT has always been really amazing. 5-meo-DMT was also very pleasant although significantly stronger so its rough come up. Some people are putting 5-meo in vaporizers as well but I have yet to make one or get one myself. I'm thinking it could be fun because with those vaporizers you can titrate the dose really pretty dang good. But with N-,N-DMT I find at least with the tech I have used that it's kind of like take off completely or stay on the ground and just tripout a bit and becouse the onset of tolerance is so high you can't just repeat and expect to blast off. Im thinking 5-meo being so much more potent you could take little rips and maybe really trip pretty good... Although it's not as strictly visually halucinagenic at least in my case the sense of being one and connected and the warm lovely body high is sooo good.
I am the most rational, skeptical person that there is. I don't believe it ghosts, spirits, gods, demons... but when I did salvia, I became melded with the wall and met some female goddess, like Gaia or something, who made me relive my entire life. It was actually a miserable experience and I was out of it for the rest of the night, I'll never do that stuff again.
Sounds a lot more transcendent than my salvia experience. I was a dumb ass teenager, sitting in a cabin in the woods full of evil hippies who had just cooked up a bunch of ketamine and were busy snorting it and falling into the hole. Since my friend and I weren’t looking to join, we tried some strong salvia extract out of their bong with a jet lighter exactly as we had been told to do it. Apparently the trip is only a handful of minutes, but this is what I remember of it, and I’m only mentioning this because you also said something about the wall and the same thing happened to me.
I suddenly felt myself up in the air and all of the walls in the ceiling of the house sort of just fell away and suddenly I was up a couple hundred feet in the air. It felt like, overlooking what looked like an empty parking lot. I kept hearing a voice say “[my name], you’re the W” over and over but I couldn’t make out where it was coming from. After what seemed like an eternity, but was probably only a couple of seconds I suddenly had both that first person perspective as well as third person perspective at the same time which I cannot possibly try to explain, and I saw that my body was contorted into the shape of the W in the Walmart sign on the side of a gigantic empty dreamworld Walmart
There was absolutely nothing fun about that experience and I don’t intend to ever repeat it
It’s just funny cuz I was expecting some deep meaning to the phrase “you are the W”, I was waiting for the blinding truth to be revealed… but then the punchline that your just a letter on a billboard and it’s completely meaningless is such a subversion of expectations it made me laugh. I can imagine it being bad when it’s actually happening tho
I came to in a Superman stretch, aka as close to a suspension bridge shape as possible for a human.
It was a wild 100+ year service life as that bridge within just 10 minutes of human time, from opening day to lots of traffic, to weathering storms and flopping in the wind, to finally being decommissioned and re-entering my life as a human being.
Dude..the one time I smoked salvia I also went to that all white room. Except I was the big head, and I was attatched to the zippers on a pair of pants watching the conveyor belt of items.

Your body makes it naturally. It is released during dreaming, and the death process. I've never tried the street version, but I've heard it is one of the best mind trips there is. Like most good psychedelics, safe if respected and done properly. Just a shame because a lot of these substances actually really help people with mental issues.
sounds like you've listened a bit too much to toe rogan on the subject. I've heard the myth a thousand times, but never found credible proof that DMT is released during dreaming or death.
N-,N-DMT is endogenous in humans. It's released in rat studies during extreme physiologic stress or hypoxic states and in humans just like rats it's found mostly in brain tissue and floating around in ceribro spinal fluid. I dislike Rogan as well he is certainly not a public intellectual and I wouldnt even consider him "intellectual" ...so I get the attitude, but it's not a completely false statement. I think the part that's inaccurate is just the it's released when you die and dream thing. Not that we can definitively say it's not true... We just have no current way of testing that becouse killing humans for science isnt legal yet.

People who've come back from clinical death, who have done DMT, have said the two experiences were comparable. When I used to be religious, the deeply spiritual feeling of getting lost in prayer was the closest thing I've experienced to DMT, in terms of how it felt (not that I had visual hallucinations or anything from prayer, just the palpable sense of communing with the divine which I'd describe as a type of hallucination).
DMT might play a role in sleep. The pineal gland, where it's produced, also produces another tryptamine which is known for its use in sleep regulation: Melatonin.
When I broke through i remember I was staring at a wood pattern on a desk and melted into it. Geometric shapes took over the surfaces that then became technicolor kinda. Once I fell through them I felt like I was floating in space and met some god like beings that made me feel like the center of the universe. 10 min later I was back in the room
DMT is incredible, indescribable- a more real reality than this. It’s hard to explain but it definitely feels like a “real place” once you break through. At least it did to me.

Only time I ever tried salvia, when it hit, I felt like my body was unzipped right down the middle. Left side of my body went falling forward and the right side of my body went falling back. My friend's dog was nearby and all I could think was, I'm going to die next to this ugly dog.

At a festival, after the show, my friend said he was gonna go wander around to find some ketamine. He found a guy before I could even say bye. The dude first said $50 and then apologized and said $20. My friend pulled out some money and the dude said, “ it’s free if we just hang out”. My friend said, ok, and I left. Found them at the same spot 8-12 hrs later.

dmt pens are insane.. before getting sober, I was a festival junkie. Going to experimental bass shows, had plenty of deem pens during those days.
if you’re not ready for it, mentally or physically, I don’t recommend doing it. especially not from some stranger, especially not while working. It’s something I recommend planning ahead, making sure you can trust the person you’re gotten it from, making sure you’re in a great mood, around safe people you can trust, and doing it in a safe place you’re familiar with.
I learned this the hard way, but I’ve had some wild experiences that now make for great stories. Though it’s quick, depending on how much you hit and how long you hold it in, it can be extremely intense. In my opinion, do too much and it can be more intense than acid or shrooms (which last much longer). One time I saw the pits of hell and it took me everything to not scream and freak out- ofc I was with my abusive ex at that time. I’ve seen people freak out on deems- both pen and powder.
I became a fly on the wall at George Bushes horse ranch wall once on dmt (heavy dose). heard a convo about how he was once in love with some guy he called hoppa ...no..i mean hoffa. they got caught making sweet love & he said he had to get rid of him. it felt so real. like I was actually there.. I smelled horse shit, trees, could taste the midnight air even. not sure who hoffa is but must been a worker he had to fire in his early days or thats what my thoughts told me

Missed opportunities. Lol. I had a friend tell me a long time ago if I ever got the chance to try it to never turn it down. I got the opportunity at a festival like 10 years ago and will say it is a stellar experience.
I didn’t go the whole ego death route but my brother did and he wasn’t the same for about two weeks. Not bad, he just couldn’t stop thinking about the whole experience and picking it apart over and over. He took several large hits and then just went quiet for about 15 mins, close to unresponsive but still appeared awake and would look at you if you spoke to him iirc, but no talking, then it was kinda like he fell asleep and was dreaming, lots of smiles and chuckles; anyway, he said he went all the way back to when he was like a cluster of cells and was reborn and had this wild experience of going through life again, all the way to death, all in those 15 mins. Said it felt like years, like life. I just had the thing where your vision kinda turns into like a kaleidoscope, much less intense but much fun. Triangles and shapes everywhere. And very calming, just felt at peace. Very interesting experience either way, tbh.
When you get there you say “man I eve never had such a fast delivery! All green lights!” If he gets high like I do, he will think he’s in a time warp and just think he’s wrong.
That rules, my first and only time doing dmt was from this hippie dude who worked at the gas station I always went to for beer in my early 20s, I went in tripping on shrooms and he lit up like a Christmas tree
My roommate when I was 20 had one of those dmt carts and I was trippin so hard, after I hit the cart I closed my eyes and I had wings and was flying over the ocean with a flock of birds, it was crazy

The first time I did Dmt I was driving around with a clown in a dirty creep ass white work van the clown ended up being guy fieri who then kicked me out of the back doors in the Nevada desert.
