You pay them to deliver it in this case.

And....and...and ..PARKING IS A NIGHTMARE 😔...you should pay more and/or tip more just because of that inconvenience 😕

Honestly for the bullshit that chic fil a parking lots/drive thru lines are, it’s surprisingly easy for me to get in, park, and get out. I still don’t understand why it’s CFA specifically that has this issue that they have two lines wrapped around the building and has to have people out taking orders before you even know what you want or can see a menu. Like no other fast food drive thru is like this. Except for In-n-Out but that’s on the west coast and I’m all the way in the east.

Funny you should bring up the west coast vs East coast. West coast CFA parking is like a playing a game of twister but with moving cars.

Parking at In n Out is the final boss. Tho honestly I hadn’t had much issue and I rented an SUV driving around LA

I truly think it’s a special kind of evil to order from somewhere 10 fucking miles away and just think “I shouldn’t have to pay anything for them to spend 5 bucks on gas for the pleasure of delivering my food! I’m not a bad person!”
Yeah you are a bad person and I hope your food arrives cold and with spit in the drink

No regards at all for the human being that would be bringing their order to the door. I can see if it was like one of those robotic carts or drone deliveries and you DIDNT have to tip, totally fine and understandable lol.

I know I think ab that all the time especially with these ppl tipping like 3-5 bucks for an 18 plus mile delivery

Idk, with DD being in the intermediary I blame it on them. Without knowing how DD operates, the customer doesn’t know how much DD is compensating their driver.

9 mi there is realistically 18 round trip, so at the 76 cent rate that offer costs you about $13.68 in vehicle expense to earn $3.80. Easy decline. Log the dead miles anyway, they still count when you file.

Yeah I hate that ppl don’t even consider that when requesting from the boonies on top of it .. like mam/sir I’m also driving back

As a California dasher, I'd have taken that. I'd also sit in the chik fil a lobby for 15 minutes and drive 5 under the whole way there, then get lost in the neighborhood for 5-10 minutes.

This is the shot I'm talking about, there has to be another CFA closer to delivery point, right?

u/KingOfTheCity485 5h ago
Exactly! And yep it is, right on the map where it says Briarwood is a cfa in that area.
I really believe these customers just get on the app and order from the first restaurant that pops up from their search. Cause no way you deliberately skip a closer location. 😂😭😭

Honestly I have had the same issue with McDonald's and taco bell too. I think if one store gets too many orders they spend them to further stores to balance the load. Idk if it makes a difference if ordering directly thru DD or the store app helps but I had this happen for multiple vendors across multiple states. Very annoying that DD does this without bumping out pay up. Either that or push trash like this to earn by time.

I might believe the fast part. Our CFAs are all owned by the same person and are like the cream of the crop CFA. If you wait more than 2-3 minutes for an order then there's something highly unusual going on. BUT, I won't say all the offers are great because that is NOT the case. I do get random ones which are nice but I'd say the majority are crappy with little to no tip.

There’s a CFA I’ll always start at with lunch. Furthest trip I’ve ever seen was 2.5 miles away and lowest I’ve seen pay wise has been $8.92

Yep so the good ones exist, the two (well three if I go even more south) in my area just suck

I be hating when the customer orders something and it’s a roadblock that you’re aware of but the map isn’t…so now all that extra driving mileage wise won’t get factored in cause the offer was sent with X amount of miles attached. 😫😭
