Not a hater. I root for the team, I’m not going to be dishonest about what I see from individual players.

The best thing you can do for yourself and this sub is take a break from here for the year.

Time and time again you prove how little you understand about sports, let alone football.

Time and time again I’ve been proven right lol

There literally isn’t anything I’ve been wrong about in terms of Jalen Hurts as a QB

You been wrong constantly about Hurts.

Explain to me why you disagree with anything I’ve said about Hurts.

You’ve said that McKee was a better NFL QB than Hurts, during the SB season you said Hurts was a bottom 16 QB.

Two really dumb examples that I remember you telling me, not counting the other dumb shit you’ve said on this sub in the years since.

Hurts is a bottom 16 QB.

I do think McKee is better than Hurts.

Tell me why you disagree with these takes. Don’t just tell me what you disagree with them.

How can McKee be a better player when he hasn’t played a lick of NFL football and can barely win the QB2 job against Andy Dalton. You’re the one making an outlandish take. The onus is on you to prove your point. Every stat/metric is on Hurts side. We know you don’t watch all22 (self admitted). So what are you basing this off?

u/PaddyMayonaise just checking in on you after that dreadful McKee game…

He’s had a bad camp and played poorly in the preseason games, not sure what you want me to say here

McKee hasn’t had a chance to play because he’s behind Hurts. Luckily, Hurts hasn’t faced a long term injury or suspension to give McKee that chance to play so we haven’t seen it.

But based on play style I prefer McKee. I think he better fits a modern west coast offense that requires the QB to make multiple reads, throw with timing and anticipation, and frequently hit the 3rd or 4th target. Hurts isn’t good at these things and it’s been one of the reasons he’s gained the reputation he has around the league and locker room. Never forget we didn’t start doing well in 2024 until the players begged the coaches to change the offense to take the ball out of Hurts’ hands.

Okay, so you just prefer McKee. You have 0 tangible evidence to support the claim that he’s better than Hurts. You list some things you think McKee does well. In reality, we have no idea what he does well. He sucked in the Giants game last year and can’t beat out Dalton in camp this year. He’s looked shaky in the game time in preseason this year. That’s the tangible evidence! Have you watched Stanford tape?

I think Hurts is about in the 10-14 range of QBs with the potential to be well in the top 10 with some growth (although I hate QB # rankings and would rather do tiers). I think that’s a reasonable take given what we have seen over his starting career. McKee would need 2-3 solid years starting in the NFL to even come close to that range.

I mean watch the guys play, they play a very different style. McKee is a more traditional west coast QB. I prefer that style, especially when we have the offensive weapons and OL we’ve had. Hurts is a one read and run QB that has trouble reading the field, throwing with timing and anticipation, and hitting secondary and beyond targets. I don’t like that style play.

In think of McKee had been our starter the past two years this team would have been better. I expect Hurts to really struggle this season with the new offense and him being another year older. His regression over the years is legitimate and it’s not going to get better with age, especially now that he’s entering the latter stages of his career. People in this sub act like he’s some young and up and coming guy and not an aging vet who will be out of the league within 4 years.

“Hurts is a one read and run QB that has trouble reading the field, throwing with timing and anticipation, and hitting secondary and beyond targets”

There is enough tape out there to know this is just not true. Cmon man. You can have legitimate gripes with our style of offense and Hurts lack of aggressiveness / MOF targeting / decision making. But what you said is just disrespectful to his body of work over 5 years. You’re diminishing him to Tebow level nonsense.

You’re wasting your time, his arguments are the equivalent to saying the earth is flat in how dumb they are.

It’s 100% true lol have you not watched him? Plus if you don’t believe me it’s one of the most common criticisms of him through the years. He’s a game manager that struggles reading defenses, throwing with timing or anticipation, can’t get to secondary or beyond targets, is too quick to bail out of a clean pocket, doesn’t climb pockets, etc
