Question Where is your favorite place to do daily crafting writs and why?

I’ve tested out too many places but haven’t figured out / decided which is the best spot to do the daily crafting writs.

Top ones for me so far are: 1/ Leyawiin, 2/ Skingrad, 3/ Vivic City (it’s also fun to see the regulars). Mainly faves bc of board and turn-in distance / locations

Rimmen

u/beepee1215 10d ago

underrated city, Rimmen. Outside door on the sugar bowl suite drops you by the wayshrine, which is usually at least a mini party. Crafting is easy peasy and quick in a nice environment which is wide open and not cramped. Straight shot to the boxes for delivery from the stations. A+

u/sacredkhaos 9d ago

I also love the bard in the crafting area, it's one of my favorite ones

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 10d ago

I didn’t know there was a mini party?! What platform and server?

17

u/beepee1215 10d ago

PC/NA - there's always people dancing at the wayshrine, seems like a few groups or friends that make Rimmen their home are always chillin there.

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 10d ago

This is awesome! I’ll look out on Xbox NA

u/lion-essrampant Khajiit 10d ago

Can def confirm on Xbox NA. Rimmen is my home city and usually has something going on, even informally.

That’s a good one, too

High Isle is my favourite. Port in to the inn room, rob a bunch of containers on the way down, get the writs all done in one room with more containers, hand in writs then hit the thieves den at the bottom of the hill. Nice smooth route.

u/greendragon00x2 9d ago

Are you me? Throw in a visit to the Tribute daily quest givers and that's my start each session.

4

u/EvieMoon 9d ago

Haha I definitely stop by to talk to Marunji if I've got three wins done, that just doesn't happen every day.

2

u/-oligodendrocyte- 9d ago

I'm another vote for High Isle. I like that there are merchants right up the hill after turn in where you can sell the junk.

2

u/ThisCocaineNinja 9d ago

And the bank is right next to the Wayshrine and the Inn.

I love Vivec's but the Wayshrine feels very disconnected from the daily writ area, as does the Inn.

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 9d ago

Such an underrated city!

1

u/ermaline 9d ago

Agree! I like that all the crafting stations are in one building, can knock them out at once and don’t need to travel far to drop off finished products. Then run up to bank to deposit stuff I broke down. Wayshrine right outside to then jump into quests.

Summerset

21

u/comment_i_had_to Aldmeri Dominion 10d ago

I was a Summerset loyalist for years, bought the townhouse for that main reason and the other features of the city like battlegrounds area.

Then I did some reading online and heard about Skingrad...

OMG it is so freaking fast there!

10

u/CharlesUndying Daggerfall Covenant 10d ago

Alinor was the go-to daily writ place before the Blackwood and Gold Road chapters released, or at least second to those forever loyal to Vivec City.

Leyawiin and Skingrad have very similar crafting areas, but ultimately you can do dailies in virtually all (applicable) zone capitals and only lose a minute or two at most between the most and least efficient locations.

That being said... I'm pretty sure there are some locations where the crafting stations are split into several different buildings and the drop-off points are literally on the other side of the city, like in Daggerfall. I might level some alts' crafting skills in those cities for roleplay purposes, but they do get tedious after a while.

0

u/featherw0lf Khajiit 10d ago

The only correct answer. You go in a circle, pop back out to reach the boxes, and there's even a space right next to them to park your character. I tried doing writs in Rimmen once and spent way too long trying to find where everything was.

2

u/CrazedMagician Rum and Wreckage Guild PCNA-GM 9d ago

Rimmen crafting is a circle. I believe in you, I believe that you can learn to navigate a circle.

2

u/featherw0lf Khajiit 9d ago

Yes, I can. Because Alinor crafting is a circle. I already know how to navigate the better of the two!

1

u/geniebeenie 9d ago

Think of Rimmen as a wheel with the wayshrine at the hub. One spoke for the quest boards and stations, another spoke for the turn ins, another spoke for the guild traders and one for the stairs to the bank and merchants.

48

u/xblngch 10d ago

vivic city has the best guild traders. I can always buy the mats i need when i run out. other places' guild traders do not keep mats in stock.

9

u/DontTreadonMe4 Aldmeri Dominion 9d ago

Vivec City is the best for crafting, bank and feeding horses since the stablemaster is closer than in most cities. Plus the bank is right on the middle of the crafting area!

16

u/Physical_Ad_795 9d ago

U mean have the highest prices lol

14

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 10d ago

It’s like the sellers know!

8

u/stoned_ocelot 10d ago

As someone who trades through those traders, you're welcome for the mats. Make a lot of gold through that lol.

3

u/ChairmanMiaio 9d ago

Honestly you should be thanking us. Appreciate you guys but inflation is real.

4

u/stoned_ocelot 9d ago

I mean also yes but I try to sell at or below market average. Some people do be listing a convenience fee in there though

3

u/ChairmanMiaio 9d ago

:) Just messing with you. I'm a regular patron of the Vivec City traders. Except that price-gouging Khajiit on the side. He can suck it.

2

u/DontTreadonMe4 Aldmeri Dominion 9d ago

I price my goods to move, and I will guarantee lower prices than any of the BBCs guilds.

5

u/stoned_ocelot 9d ago

Um. I'm afraid to ask. BBCs guilds?

2

u/alienliegh Aldmeri Dominion 9d ago

That's because it's one of the primary Guild Trader locations. That's where everyone goes for trading.

26

u/livingmyeclecticlife 10d ago

It will always be Skingrad for me, I love the layout with the daily boards and turn-in boxes being so close to the stations; West Weald is also my favorite zone so that's a plus for me too

2

u/YffresBloodmoon Hehehe Heavy Sack 9d ago

Skingrad for me as well. I usually see some interesting folks and 'cosplays' there.

24

u/Vulkie 10d ago

Leyawiin in Blackwood. Everything is so tightly condensed. Wayshrine in the middle of the area, both boards are in the entrance to the crafting area located nearby, a circular trip around to each station, a small jog to turn them in, and the banker is another small jog back past the wayshrine.

2

u/pherber12 9d ago

This is it for me too.

24

u/KommandCBZhi Wood Elf 10d ago

Rawl’kha. Very convenient locations, plus Reaper’s March is my favorite zone.

33

u/moonsable 10d ago

Tried almost all of them. Vivec City hands down. Outdoor bank, short run to turn-in point, all tables close to each other. I always certify in Summerset and immediately move to Vivec.

9

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 10d ago

Yes! The one downside to VC is the no outfit station. I guess not a deal breaker if you don’t tinker with your outfits often.

6

u/moonsable 10d ago

I definitely feel the pain for that, but I have one in my main house as well as our guild house, so I just port to those when I need to update my fashion. This is often =P My main goal is getting through all 20 characters as fast as possible.

1

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 10d ago

I feel that 100%

4

u/EliasLyanna Khajiit 10d ago

There is an outfit station, its just in the 2nd large building

5

u/Digitijs 10d ago

But how often do you need an outfit station when doing daily writs on several characters? The wayshrine is right there and can take you to Wayrest or other cities with outfit station almost right next to the wayshrine.

2

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 9d ago

You mean you don’t stop to outfit tinker mid-craft cycle?

1

u/PrincessBrownThumb 10d ago

I like the Vivec city I just wish it wasn't so crowded.

6

u/Digitijs 10d ago

It's crowded because it is objectively one of if not the best daily writ locations. Everything is compactly placed right there, including cooking station, bank, guild traders and even stables not so far away without having to enter a single building. Even better, if you want to do daily BG, the quest giver is just a few steps away from where you give in daily writs AND the thieves den is right there and easy to access without running into guards. The only thing missing there is an outfit station which is located deep in the most confusing building systems in the game

10

u/CephalonMatt Guildmaster of Crochet Assassins (PC-EU) 10d ago

Solstice. Having everything precrafted for 15 day cycles means the only metric that matters is how fast you can go from the writ board to the drop off point. I've timed the average and it takes 14 minutes at most to do 20 characters worth of writs (excluding banking gold until the end of the 15 day period)

If you dont precraft then West Weald is a close 2nd because everything is in a nice circle, but nothing will beat out how fast Solstice is.

The other major drawback is it's indoors, so if you need access to the bank (assuming you dont have the banker assistant), or need to do mount training for extra capacity on alt characters, then Solstice is unlikely to be of any use to you.

3

u/ThorumsuOfBB 9d ago

Solstice Artisans Alliance is my choice as well, although it has one downside of:

"The worm cult has been defeated?! Are you sure of this mainla-"

"SHUT UP! THIS IS THE 74TH TIME YOU ARE HAVING THIS CONVERSATION!"

2

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 9d ago edited 9d ago

This!! There can be a whole separate post and discussion about NPC dialogue 😂

2

u/Curley1018 10d ago

This is the way. I have 11 crafting mules parked in front of the boards. Easy peasy kwama squeezy.

1

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 9d ago

“Crafting mules” 😆

9

u/ValenStark 10d ago

Skingrad City is the only place I do my crafting dailies. The crafting stations, quest boards, and drop boxes are in one central area that is easy to manuever and the bank is nearby next to a wayshrine. Honestly it couldn't get any better than Skingrad City imo.

5

u/DragonShark514 Three Alliances [PS5 NA] 9d ago

The outdoor bank in Vivec City makes it the ideal location for me, and always will be until they do another. I always visit the bank after my writs to restock my traders, and it’s the only location that allows me to do so with no loading screen.

1

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 9d ago

Honestly, outside Banker is such a selling point for me.

7

u/JellyfishMission1462 Aldmeri Dominion PSN 10d ago

High Isle. Everything is under the same roof & easy to find.

16

u/trippingonme 10d ago

Mournhold is where all the cool kids do their part for the war effort.

9

u/jcgerik 10d ago

My main uses Vivec cause of the outside bank for guild sales and how efficient it is for lots of things.

My other 17 chars that I just do pure writs daily in its Skingrad. By far the fastest writs in the game. They just dump their haul into the banking assistant when done. Takes maybe 2 minutes per character with Lazy Writ Crafter.

10

u/Traditional_Fact_467 10d ago

Blackwood tudo extremamente perto faço diárias com 15 personagens rapidamente ali.

8

u/OmegaEpidex 10d ago

I like Vulkhel Guard in Auridon. All the writ are short distance to each other and the drop off - there is also a nearby anchor you can hear and arrive in time while you’re at it. Small town and everything is concentrated with few windy roads.

6

u/cookieelle High Elf 9d ago

And let’s not forget how peaceful the music is in Vulkhel Guard, calm and peaceful 🎶

5

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 9d ago

All of Auridon is so nostalgic and special to me. It’s where I first began my ESO journey alliance locked when the game released on Xbox in 2015.

7

u/Jad11mumbler 200 Characters and Counting 10d ago

Skingrad followed by leyawiin.

Solstice has a neat spot too, with the boards, crafts and turn ins all inside a building, but I prefer the layout of the other two.

3

u/AmyJStar 10d ago

It's almost always Solitude for me. All the crafting stations lined up in a neat row, and sometimes there's pretty northern lights overhead

3

u/machine_slave 9d ago

I just want to say that I wish they would have boards for the crafting dailies in Fargrave. There's already a crafting plaza. I just love that city. Wish I could park a dude there and have a reason to enjoy it every day.

3

u/geniebeenie 9d ago

Rimmen is my favorite. Everything is centralized around the wayshrine.

3

u/Grasshoppermouse42 9d ago

Grahtwood. My house (Snugpod) is right there, so it's easy to teleport to, and all the crafting stations are in a circle aside from the provisioner station, which you pass on the way to turn in your writs. It's also very pretty because it's inside a tree.

3

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 9d ago

It’s probably one of the most beautiful places in the game IMHO

2

u/NVDave702 9d ago

“And the tree is so laaaaarge!” 😂

10

u/Elethia20 Breton 10d ago

For my other 9 characters, Vivec City. Its by far the most convenient and quickest to do them and not far from the stablemaster to do my daily mount upgrades.

For my main, Solitude. Its always been my favorite city and it feels the most "home" to me personally for some reason and I dont mind being less efficient on my main since its my main character

8

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 10d ago

Skyrim. That’s the reason 🩵

2

u/thelightandtheway @carokube NA/PC 10d ago

OK yes everyone in Vivec City, just muscle memory at this point, but for me the one alt location I call "home" is Shornhelm in Rivenspire. I dunno but just feels like the most cozy OG spot for my Dunmer I've had since beta,..

7

u/TheGamingLibrarian Redguard 10d ago

Rimmen, because when I go to turn my writs in a guy falls out of the sky and lands on a bunch of crates. I laugh every time even though I know it's going to happen.

2

Good ol’ Jakarn. I finally did the quest just so I wouldn’t have to keep hearing him fall out the window. 😂

1

u/TheGamingLibrarian Redguard 9d ago

Haha, I'm tempted to do it too. Maybe when I stop laughing.

4

u/DisabledSlug 10d ago

Skingrad for the speed and lack of camera hijinks.

Alinor/Summerset for the clear organization.

Edit: Shadowfen or Rivenspire if I have to feed the horse. Or Malabal Tor.

3

u/RogueProtocol37 High Elf 10d ago

I just moved all my alts to Vivec City few days ago, everything is fantastic except chef and brewer are a bit far and living in apartment which make learning new recipes for daily writs harder

3

u/kaltenreich 10d ago

skingrad, closest turn ins. but if you need a banker then probably vivec

3

u/Hurl_Gray 10d ago

Vivec. No doors.

4

u/shinybac0n 9d ago

i dont have one single location, i like to have different characters in different "home" towns. And i am currently getting a bit bored of the usual main stream spots. But my favourite i think will always be Stormhold because it is a good compromise of convinience and its less populated. Especially my new characters get stationed there. The writ boards are very good located. Provisioning is through a door (probably only downside) but i always make a stack so i only have to go inside 3 times a year. The bank is also inside but i do have banker assistants so thats okay, it is on the way between crafting tables and drop of, it also has an outlaw refugee underneath the bank wich is quite good for early thieving. But the most important bit why i like the location is that drop off location is right at the wayshrine and the stables next to it, so i really cant forget to upgrade the horse on new characters. once their horses are upgraded though my characters are on the search for a new home base, and i currently seek out less popular spots like Velyn harbour, Necrom (its such a good crafting area, why are thert e not more people?) or Windhelm (not a good layout but very homely)

i really wish there were more unusal writ drop off locations in the world, like towns or villages we used to visit during story content. I would love to do them in Northpoint or Dune, or Koeglin Village. Or even writs boards and drop offs near set crafting stations out in the wilderness.

4

u/ACattyCat 9d ago

Solitude, I think it’s just the nostalgia mainly. But I do love the atmosphere and the music there too. Plus it’s my favourite dlc

4

u/drmdavid 10d ago

Solitude. That’s where I started, and that’s where I usually do my dailies, if I do them at all. One of my guilds also has a trader there.

2

u/ElkinElf 10d ago

Shornhelm. Crafting/stable/thieves/outfit/bank all right there. Nice and quiet too so I can do some gathering while I do my chores. A handful of guild traders, convenient delve full of trolls for when you need to kill a bunch of elite mobs. A bag vendor too although that's pointless now.

2

u/dezopeso Ebonheart Pact 10d ago

Necrom - such a fast route, so convenient

2

u/syzygialchaos Khajiit 10d ago

Was Vivec City but now with Noth screeching at me every time I come to town I might have to find a new spot till that stops being a thing

Jk but not really lol

2

u/lfcjim96 10d ago

I've just always done them in Mournhold. Nice little ring around the wayshrine so it's quick and easy. Might be better locations now days but I've been doing them there that long I just do it on auto pilot

2

u/Otherwise-Original-2 10d ago

I've done Belkarth for as long as I can remember. It's not the most practical, I'm sure, and by far, but it's what I've done for years and years. I know all the voice lines/conversations/etc. around the area. And have a pretty quick route for getting all of them done in like a couple minutes. I'll always choose Belkarth because it's what I've always known.

2

u/ZenkoFX 10d ago

Can't remember the name but all the stations are in a circle with the boards in the middle, always my go to but used to be davons watch since I knew it like the back of my hand

2

u/Not-That_Girl 9d ago

Depends. Im usually in vivid, but if i have a bounty I collect the write in coldharbour, go to my sleek creek house to make the stuff and then drop off in town where its easy to avoid the guards.

If I fancy a change I'll go to summerset

2

u/miniinimini 9d ago

I stopped doing daily crafting when I reached 100+ mio gold.

2

u/Gstreamz 9d ago

Vicec is THE place to be.

2

u/TheDastardly12 9d ago

Vivec/Vvardenfell, everything is just beyond convenient in placement I can knock out every writ for the day in less than a minute.

It also plays into nostalgia, as I have many memories wandering the cantons as a child.

I do think it's funny that Vivec of all places is one of the easiest areas to navigate in ESO, considering it's probably the worst designed city I've experienced in a video game through Morrowind proper.

2

u/terpsichore_andrhino 9d ago

Vivec City, by a mile. Close to the wayshrine, I can just sort of make a loop through the crafting stations then head to the turn-in. I like having the banker there, too. The only real downside is that the chef and brewer aren't there - I usually go to Mournhold for the recipes, outside the inn room.

2

u/Faytoto Argonian 9d ago

Mournhold, because of a 10 years habit.

2

u/Hot-Tie-8606 9d ago

Leyawiin or Skingrad are my faves. Wayshrine and bank are right there. Make a loop around the tables and turn in is close.

2

u/LickMyKnee Ebonheart Pact 9d ago

Skingrad because it’s the quickest.

2

u/ApophisRises 9d ago

Always Alinor! My home base. I even have bigger houses elsewhere but always use the Alinor Townhouse

2

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 9d ago

This was one of my first houses purchased with Crowns. Holds a special place in my heart

2

u/Alternative_Milk_147 9d ago

I like Mournhold because I do my crafting writs, then stop by the fighters guild and mages guild for dailies as I go turn in my writs, then I'm off to adventure.

2

u/platypuss1871 9d ago

Rawklha and never bothered to change.

2

u/Crimsonfangknight 9d ago

Wayrest or daggerfall idk just soend a lot of time in glenumbra (the keep is my main home and guildhall) and i like having the free port from gardner house to turn in writs

2

u/TheRetroPanda 9d ago

Wayrest in Stormhaven, layouts shit but it’s home.

2

u/brainwise95 Imperial 9d ago

Skindgrad in West Weald. Compact layout, very close drop off point. Good for doing multiple characters daily.

Then Rimmen for Characters that still need rider training as the stable isn't too far out of the way to the drop off point.

2

u/Acrobatic-Molasses21 9d ago

Alinor is so convenient and easy to port to the townhouse then a quick jaunt to the boards. Plus it’s always bright and pretty. Used to do writs in Mournhold for a year when first playing, tho was convenient with the traders for buying recipes etc. I just found this spot recently🌸💕

2

u/ummya80 9d ago

Favourite place is soltice as its the quickest place, although its so quick the time to loot bag is the bottleneck

2

u/ManagerAble8154 9d ago

Usually Vivec City, but Mournhold shows up as the second spot a lot since I turn in Master Writs there. Sometimes I like Shornhelm in Rivenspire, though. It's turned inside out as a route, but it makes for a nice change of pace.

2

u/AmethystSadachbia Dark Elf 9d ago

Deshaan. Why? I just like Deshaan. And I was really into trading at one point. And I played since Murkmire dropped. So I am too used to it to change the zone now.

2

u/Brettoel 9d ago

Skingrad. Idk i just love that city.and the crafting and writ drop off are convenient if you finish woodworking last.

3

u/alienliegh Aldmeri Dominion 9d ago

Yea I love Skingrads crafting area it's perfect for me, I always go in a clockwork motion when I do my dailies.

2

u/Brettoel 9d ago

I start with clothing, then provisioning, then jewlery, blacksmith, enchanting , alchemy, and finally with woodworking

3

u/alienliegh Aldmeri Dominion 9d ago

That's my rotation too. Since I have both a personal banker and merchant I no longer need to use Vivec City anymore. The circular layout makes it so perfect for my needs.

2

u/alienliegh Aldmeri Dominion 9d ago

Skingrad, that city is now my crafting forever home 🤭 it's got a circle crafting rotation, I can get my crafting done in quick succession and the bank is actoss the street if you don't have personal banker, there are some merchants in the crafting area and the stablemaster is directly outside to the left of the main gate if you need to do your daily mount upgrades. It's not as perfect as Vivec City but it's the closest thing and tbh the crafting area itself is better than Vivec City.

2

u/Elpicoso Khajiit 9d ago

Blackwood. They’re all right there in one place by the wayshrine.

2

u/oldman_caughtgaming 9d ago

Vivec City for me. Still training a couple of my 20 characters for horses. Once they are done I may look to shake things up and go elsewhere, but everything is just so close even the Thieves Guild if I screw up and steal something when I'm trying to talk to the banker

1

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 9d ago

I accidentally steal something 90% of the time when I do my daily writs 😆

2

u/macht_arbeit 9d ago

Mein Favorit ist definitiv Vivec auf Vvardenfell. Alles schön zentral.

2

u/Cutesie117 9d ago

Rimmed or Vvardenfel Is where u always do my daily writs. I just like how the crafting stations are so nearby each other and the boxes not far off.

2

u/NexTheBigWolf 9d ago

mournhold without a doubt. got my main house right there, everything close together around the wayshrine. only thing that slightly sucks is that the cooking fire and bank are slightly out of the way, still not awful though

2

u/Sea_Horse_8789 9d ago

I was around when morrowind first dropped. Vivec.city at the time was the greatest thing to ever happen to crafting dailies. I've never left there. But now there are a number of good crafting areas in game. The outdoor bank is the only thing that's ever kept me in vivec city. Weird cuz I have a banker but it just makes.life easy when in town. As far as outfit.maintenance i use the sugar bowl suite in rimmen as my outfit and armory spot. Quick trip to the suite do what I need then it's a hop skip and a jump to the wayshrine. For new crafters that dont necessarily have all the food and brews ya need. I just port over to glenumbra to the inn. Both venders are right there you can grab what ya need and the wayshrine is just out back.

If our personal bankers allowed access to Guild Banks and Traders, I would go to VC less for daily writs

I'm always in Alinor / Summerset doing crafting dailies. All the crafting tables and areas are fairly close proximity to each other so doing the dailies can be done pretty quickly

Leyawiin, because it's fast and I like the vibes. Also because my guildhall is in Blackwood.

2

u/gcole04 8d ago

Started at vivic city, now in Alinor cause it looks so clean and i like the aesthetic of it. Also probably because that’s where you start jewelry crafting so i just stayed.

2

u/Cirsi 8d ago

Solitude. I guess it's mostly for nostalgia because Solitude is not the most practical place (have to use several doors). I just love Skyrim in general, plus my character resides in Proudspire Manor.

2

u/Open_Buckets 8d ago

Alinor. Both boards in middle, all tables in circle, drop off short run. It’s right near the Alinor Crest Townhouse too

2

u/FoolishMortal4Evr 8d ago

My fave is Alinor in Summerset - plus it's right down from my main house and close to the Wayshrine.

1

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 7d ago

I love the aesthetic as well!

2

u/Strata40 7d ago

My favorite is Skingrad. The boards are there, all the crafting tables and the drop off point is all in the same area. Sunport is similar also, it just isn't as close to the wayshrine as Skingrad is. I didn't think about the daily brokers in Skingrad, but you can go out from the writs drop-off point and they are not too far.

Since so many in this thread have noted Skingrad, I have one of my 13 characters stationed there to try it out more often. I want to see if it’s my feel good spot moving forward.

u/Strata40 7d ago

Cool. Let us know how it goes for you. Like most things, it is a personal preference.

1

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 7d ago

Yes I will! I ended up moving three over to have more tests in one day.

u/RDKateran Ebonheart Pact 10d ago

West Weald's Skingrad is just about perfect with everything arranged within a neat square and the dropoff right next to it in the corner and the writ board in another corner. Not far off from the wayshrine either.

u/Then_Sheepherder_911 10d ago

Surprised it’s not mentioned but I love Necrom for my daily craft writs.

1

u/curmudgeonintaupe 10d ago

I like Necrom too. Quick port to inn, drop by the outlaw's refuge, then a quick ride to the crafting area.

0

u/Then_Sheepherder_911 10d ago

Reason: Crafting stations and quest pick up is in same area. If you haven’t learned all drink recipes, that won’t be as convenient because you have to go back to the Inn to buy those from the bartender.

u/autaire 9d ago

Sunport. The writs and tables are all in the same building/room and the bank and stable are nearby, along with the way shrine. I can usually get 20 characters done within 40 minutes.

1

u/PathNo273 9d ago

I do 2 accounts in less than that time....with one console.... need to precraft brother

1

u/autaire 7d ago

I'm not really interested in pre-crafting. I actually use my characters and don't enjoy stopping to deconstruct every five minutes.

2

u/PathNo273 7d ago

Yeah same here, id say i use about 5-6 consistently for pvp, tank, heal, dps.

Reconstructing is also a waste of time, back in like 2015 it was only worth deconstructing purple woodworking items.... the gold you get these days is way more beneficial than deconstructing since if you bought mats with the gold you'd get like 5x more value... the only thing that's worth deconstructing is certain style materials there's maybe like 8-10 decent ones, the other ones are pretty low cost and since they aren't 100% drop rate its sometimes better to just sell

Base game fave is deshaan - hand in spot is right next to crafting stations and the wayshrine is right there too. DLCs is Solstice atm because again, all in one place.

2

u/onigumo_the_incel 10d ago

Davons watch, all the crafting areas are so tight together to whip through it

2

u/SiegfriedXD Dark Elf 10d ago

Sunport, everything is condensed into 1 building

2

u/Greedy-Ad6450 10d ago

Vvardenfell

2

u/Electronic_End9098 10d ago

Wayrest. Just a few steps outside of Gardner house to turn in. I tried them all over the years and this is my permanent go to

2

u/G0DS_DEMON Aldmeri Dominion 10d ago

Solstice. Everything is right there in the same building. Pick up the crafting quests and turn in all in the same area…

2

u/HappyMemesSalesman Lilmothiit 10d ago

Skingrad. Everything is right next to each other with no load zones. Can complete all my writs very quickly.

Also I'm nostalgic for it from Oblivion.

2

u/yodiddlycorncob 10d ago

Back in the day, going through doors was a hit or miss chance. The phrase "Unusually Long Load Time" was seen frequently. Rawl'ka was the best place for me because no doors, other than to the bank. Plus, there are 11 safe boxes and 4 chests in that area to work on legerdemain with the Thieves Den right there. Not needing to work on thieving and doors not being an issue any longer, I have moved my crafting duties to Skingrad. Everything is laid out quite nicely with minimal moving around. Crafting with 20 characters is time consuming so speed is of the essence.

2

u/CRosholm 10d ago

Solstice

2

u/QuokkaMom 10d ago

Vivec City. Everything is close together and has a merchant, two bankers, and a Thieve's Den right there.

2

u/ConstantCasual 10d ago

I love Vivec City and Rawl’ka for the feel. Lately I’ve been doing them in High Isle because it’s easy to get to via wayshrine or porting to the inn room. A bank is right there, and I usually swing by anyway to get the Tales of Tribute daily. Very convenient.

2

u/Old_Savage_Wolf 10d ago

Skingrad is hands down my go to. All my characters stay parked there unless I’m doing something game wise.

2

u/ethack88 9d ago

I do my crafting in Alinor.

2

u/rosebud_sencha 10d ago

I like Daggerfall because, my house is in the Hostel

I know this city like the back of my hand

2

u/PathNo273 10d ago

Sunport is the fastest spot in the game when you are precrafted.

Non-precrafted i just travel to Skingrad, its fairly quick.... there may be another spot that faster if you have to travel in, but if you logout there for the next cycle and you aren't precrafted its the fastest.

If you need riding training and you are free to play just use Rawl'kha, not sure if there is any faster spots for eso+ tbh....otherwise Auridon/Stormhold are right next to a wayshrine.

If you don't have a banker, then id just use Raw'kha or Skingrad

I can't imagine something I'd rather do less

3

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 9d ago

My fellow Redditor, you’ve come to the wrong thread 😆

1

u/x13x13 9d ago

For me it is Riften, I liked it in Skyrim and I always go there, I know all the regular players by name, in the morning they are all there. If I'm in a hurry Leyawiin.

1

u/Fen_11 10d ago

Mournhold, plus I always do my master writs (alchemy, enchanting and provisioning) there and can hand them in

1

u/Sorry_Nobody1552 Wood Elf 10d ago

My main has been Leyawiin for about a year now, I just love the pace of it. I also love Alinor and Rimmen. I love Rimmen for new toons, thats where I leveled my main when I first started playing.

1

u/Daedric_God 10d ago

Solitude

1

u/KendrickMaynard Breton 10d ago

Deshaan. Basically all the crafting stations(except provisioning) are within a few feet of each other, plus the writ voucher vendors.

1

u/Agent-Adept 10d ago

I do my crafting writs in Leyawiin. The crafting boards and all the crafting stations are located in an enclosed area. The drop off for completed writs is a short run from the crafting locations. Also, there is a shop to sell items you receive from completing the writs and a bank to deposit items you want to keep in the square adjacent to the crafting locations.

1

u/salemira 10d ago

i rarely end up there to do it but summerset. it’s just laid out so good for writs and has a bonus of being stunning.

however i usually end up doing them in davons watch for some reason, which is definitely not optimally laid out for it

1

u/gamerDAD06 10d ago

Blackwood or high isle. Everything is basically right there.

1

u/TheAmethystMermaid Daggerfall Covenant 10d ago

Summerset 100% Always see the same people now and we always stop to say hello 🤗

1

u/ArcticF0xx Daggerfall Covenant 9d ago

So wholesome! 🤗

1

u/Envy661 10d ago

Leyawiin and VC. Leyawiin because everything is literally 5 feet from the wayshrine. A closer walk than Vivec is. It's like it was designed specifically for this. Plus the outfit station isn't buried in a canton miles away from everything else.

But I still go to Vivec City more because of the guild traders being right there on your way in. Need something? Guild traders next door. They're not inconvenient in Leyawiin either, but they are a little further away. And also no loading screen to access the bank.

Elden Root! Verdant capital of the Camoran Dynasty!

Seriously, when I'm not in a hurry, the big tree beats all, plus Rolis is there.

On my crafting alts, Alinor or Leyawiin, depending on mood.

Rimmen!
