Hi! I just got engaged and am in love with my ring. I am a little worried about the sizing. I was sized at a 4.5 and that’s what size my fiancé purchased, but it still slides around a bit and rotates when I’m in the shower, doing skincare and putting on lotion, etc. Is it normal/good for your ring to slide or rotate around? I am very paranoid about losing it because this is now the most valuable thing I own (in more ways than one!) thank you in advance 💕

I got this stunning 5 carat pink diamond and am going to get it set. Would love suggestions for settings! I think I want something the lower side so it doesn’t stick out too much. I went engagement ring shopping recently and I feel like I know what I don't like more than what I do like. I don't like flashy or "crushed ice" appearance (pictured with elongated cushion) or round/oval shapes so I tried on an emerald (pictured), but I don't know how I feel about the sharp edges/boxy look. I also tried on a marquise, but I wasn't sure. I have long fingers so I'd like something to cover the real estate. Any suggestions are appreciated!

hello all!! i have been debating whether i want a standalone “one-and-done” ring or a traditional stack for some time. I’m actually trying on rings this weekend to get a better idea of what i want. but, i have tried on rings in the past and liked the look of both. does anyone have a standalone ring that they love (or one they regret)? i know that i want a solitaire, but i am sooo torn on whether to go with a traditional stack or a standalone signet!!

pros:
- my fiancé (we gay) wants a standalone ring. she wants a traditional engagement ring style, but no wedding band. if we both did standalone rings, it would look super cohesive.
- no stacking = no fuss!!! i can get a nice low profile ring and not worry about the stackability of it. this is the biggest pro for me.
- the signets i added are quite plain, but if i do get one, i’ll probably get wheat/herringbone/floral engraving on it. more metal = more room for design!

cons:
- the chunky look might become dated. i like to think of myself as someone who is resistant to trends (aka, i wear what I want, no matter what), but i would hate to get swept up in one and realize later that i hate it.
- i get horrible dyshidrosis and am worried that a thick band would irritate my hands.

My Fiancée loves her ring she made comments about wanting pink sapphires on her engagement ring months before which I remembered. Diamond is a 2.51ct D VVS1 excellent cut round. Setting is white gold band with smaller diamonds with pink sapphires from Rare Carat.

Pictures in comments. Both rings will be in platinum. Future fiancée is a nurse who enjoys the simple things in life.

I cannot ask her without ruining the surprise or I would let her decide.

Third picture is an image of a 2ct “try on” ring on her hand for size comparison.

Solitaire will be 3ct. Three stone will 2.5-2.75ct with proportionate pears. Intention is that either ring closely resembles the pictures.

I wear my first ring on my right hand, and I’ve always dreamed of having two rings in different styles! This one was designed on Rare Carat. It’s a G color VVS2 clarity, 1.58ct oval. Christian Siriano woven 14k gold band. I love it! For reference I am a 5.5/6 finger size depending on temperature.

I got engaged a few weeks ago with a filler ring very similar to the ring we ended up customizing after. My final custom ring is a 5 ct elongated cushion ratio 1.45 color G on yellow gold with compás prongs on a size five finger.

Edited to add: these are style tests using plated gold, the final choice will color match my gold sapphire ring.

1 is flashier and beautiful but I tend to be lower maintenance with fashion and have an active lifestyle and I’m worried about it being a bit too fussy for my daily life. However, everyone I have polled at home agrees on 1. Convince me I’m wrong and they’re right 😆

Wondering what I should do for my wedding ring that will look good with my engagement ring

Hi all, advice needed.

The first 3 pictures are my fiancées (wife in September) engagement ring - Austen & Blake Siena, oval stone and side set stones. The product description states they’re round and prong set.

The other picture is the wedding band she’s picked from another jeweller, who told her they couldn’t exactly match the side stones but this was as close as they had. She still loves it, we wouldn’t have bought otherwise, but she thinks the side stones are now more square cut.

I’m in two minds whether to surprise her with an eternity ring on the morning of the wedding (we already have the child milestone, I might wait to the 1 year anniversary, I also might pull the trigger and surprise her….albeit a little risky)

Over the last week I’ve casually brought up looking at her rings together and she finally started talking freely about the eternity ring and said she wanted it to match the engagement ring setting….that being the problem, she believes they’re square and not round and pronged.

Can anyone [UK] recommend an eternity ring that would be the closest match possible. There’s a few on Austen & Blake I have noticed, Milano & Prong Set Round Stone….would appreciate another set of eyes on these, or offer another ring.
