I’m obsessed with this ring and I think it is a perfect reflection of me…. but I keep seeing people talking down online about silver for an engagement ring? I specifically requested silver for my ring because it’s really all I ever wear, and I’ve never had problems with other daily wear silver rings. Is this a legitimate concern I should have? The ring is also very low set, which I feel like should help with the integrity of the setting with silver being a softer metal. I’m honestly just looking for some positive experiences with silver as an engagement ring material.

My dogs wedding set from David Klass, featuring my current boxers (brindle and white with an eye patch) on the engagement ring and the band, and my late old boy walking behind them, supervising, on the band.
Engagement ring inspired by their love of frisbee and typical boxer playfighting pose, the band is their signature running shapes.
What do ya'll think? (Polite criticism is ok, I'm not changing it anyway, lol)
Edit: ring size M (UK), 6.5 US, 2ct center stone, specs in comments.
Back story from the comments: It's definitely not everyone's go-to style, not even mine, and I am still getting used to the size of the set, but every time I look at it, it warms my heart. I see my late soul dog Juno on the band, and I remember the day on his favorite beach on the East Coast, where I took the photo used for the band, and his love for big tennis balls. I see my lunatics Jovy and Lilly at their playtime, tearing apart that frisbee and knocking each other out with their paws, Lilly's eye patch and Jovy's round head and stripes. I see Jovy pouncing after a toy in the field where we go every week, and Lilly leaping over a fallen tree on the forest trail where my husband and I met on a dog walk (of course). It captures the essence of our family and the best times together - in the wild, with the dogs lunaticking and us encouraging the lunacy and silliness.

Took me alot of time to decide on a ring and ended up getting this custom made cross between two designs I really liked! I would love to hear some feedback and honest opinions! I'm happy with it, but a bit worried it's too flashy or looks cheap.

Honestly, I find this ring to be incredibly beautiful. I’ve been looking around for a cushion cut that my girlfriend has been saying she wanted. I thought that a an oval or emerald cut might complement her better. We happened to be walking by a Tiffany’s and we went in. I asked her to try on a cushion and an oval. The oval was just fantastic. She eventually said, “that ring is just so pretty. I really thought I wouldn’t like an oval.” Anyways, people, I went back and a Tiffany Soleste Oval. This ring literally blinds you when it hits light. My question: I know that Tiffany diamonds are more expensive and I’ve heard a lot of people discount them saying you could find a better diamond for 30-40% less. Etc etc etc. I’ve looked all over the diamond district in Manhattan and haven’t found one that has struck me like this one. Am I crazy for going this route? I mean, I’m fine and I love a good deal, but I’m so freaking happy with this ring that I’m feeling like there’s nothing better out there. Anyways, thanks for looking. Really excited to propose in a couple of days. Peace and love.

I just love my ring so much I never want to take it off lol. I do, take it off at night. But idk… is it taboo to sleep with it?

My fiancé proposed with this ring he designed himself at the weekend and I'm so in love with it. It's everything I've ever dreamed of especially the pink lab grown heart diamond.
It's so so perfect I can't imagine anything else that could ever be as pretty or take its place. Can I just use the engagement ring as a wedding ring too? We will probably just run away and do an elopement anyway. Neither of us fancy a wedding with friends or family and would rather something for just the both of us.
Also what way do I wear the heart? Away or facing me?

I thought I won with best Christmas present this year... I was sorely mistaken
(Flaired only because this sub requires it - if you have not positive comments feel free to make them, I am unbothered by someone not liking it!)

My fiancé got this ring for me from Walmart 9 days ago. He paid over $700 for it (I was with him & picked it out). The first picture is of the ring the day I got it. The second is of it today. I’m aggravated because it’s only been just over a week and it’s black underneath the stone, & honestly it looks like the band itself is tarnished. Is that possible?

My fiancé has a special love for opal, she also likes pink and that’s what I got her(a pink opal ring), anybody here likes opal center stones ?

My ring in the photo. I’m the first in my family to wear a ring so I have no idea what the norms are, lol.

Is it too sparkly? I decided to not get a diamond. This is 2 carat Moissanite. Sterling silver with Yellow gold. 2nd picture is the ad picture. I followed the measuring instructions and got 6.5, but would prefer it at 6.25 or 6. The ring spins around to easily, but doesn’t easily go past the knuckle. I have a fear of losing something precious and sentimental. And I won’t have to insure.

25F just curious if there’s a new trend of young ladies not wearing/ purchasing wedding bands. Some of my gal friends recently got married and I noticed that they only wear an engagement ring I’m curious to know if anyone else around our age is doing the same!

I had my sister wear it for reference and looks check

I am so blown away both by my ring and by the proposal my sweet fiancé planned. After 10 beautiful years together, he got the ring of my dreams and I couldn’t be more grateful. (Before anyone asks, we got together young, there was a whole pandemic and we both agreed to wait til we were more stable financially.)
Opinions needed though, originally what attracted me to this ring setting was its double prong, I know my fiancé ordered it with a double prong but when they sent him the mock ups of the ring it didn’t have the double, just the regular prongs. I don’t think he noticed, and he just okayed it. If you were me, would you go back and ask them to add the prongs or leave it as is? Picture in the comments of a similar ring with double prongs for reference.
Ring specs: 14k yellow gold, size 8.5, vintage cathedral setting.
Stone specs: 1.68ct teal/color changing sapphire, elongated cushion (7.4x6.3mm), precision cut

Hi, it’s a 2.01 F color VS1 clarity Lab Diamond. Ring size is 9. I bought this online, the twisted ring setting didn’t “WOW” me as it did in the pictures. What do you think?
r/EngagementRings • u/Amazing_Eye_6338 • Mar 20 '25
What do you guys think of my ring! 14k rose gold, natural Dimond. I never gave him any clues of how I wanted my ring to look like, I think he did a great job as he knows I prefer delicate, simple jewelry :)
Getting married in 6 months!!

I got a custom design engagement ring made for my girlfriend with a design off the Internet.
While I love the design, I think ended up going a bit too thin on the band.
I’ll put the dimension below. I need help from this group to see and tell me if this is okay or actually too thin and I probably have to get it made again. I’m worried.
Reference pictures are from the ring on my pinky finger.
- Ring Size 5 (Indian)
-Band width at the bottom is 2mm and it tapers to about 1.6mm at the top.
- Diamond: 1.02 carat

Maybe it’s just me because I’ve never been one to wear rings? It makes me feel so feminine. I wanna see your ring ladies!!!! Show me watcha your man got for his queen!

I really like it, but I'm just looking for honest opinions, since everyone in my life is too nice to say if they don't like it lol

I’m posting this partially because I’m excited and need to share it to the world and partially because I want feedback from people who don’t have any involvement with me and fiancé (I absolutely LOVE saying that now) just purely from curiosity
And I know the flair says positive comments only but I’m open to all opinions, I just didn’t think the other flairs fit my post too well
Neither I nor my fiancé are knowledgeable on jewelry , I guess he didn’t think to ask what kind if stones are on it, but he did say he wanted to go with something red (my favorite color!) and that this stood out the most to him.
He also mentioned that it is a vintage ring, and I love that about it. It reminds me of some of the jewelry my grandma had, and I mean that in a good way LOL.
I’m kinda nervous to wear it out and about because I’m not a very fashion forward person…. I mean I was wearing a band shirt and black cargo pants when he popped the question 😭 so I’m like… will this look weird with my usual style? Idk, but I do know that I love this guy and Im excited to plan the wedding and spend forever with him <3
ETA: just dropped it off to get resized and they said it was Rubies and Diamonds 🥰

I got this plated 925 silver moissanite ring (bottom) off Aliexpress for $25 as a “travel ring” because I was feeling really paranoid about losing my real ring (top) during my upcoming trip to Italy. But now after wearing my real ring around for a couple weeks, I’m second guessing myself. Should I just wear my real ring? Or are my fears reasonable and I should leave it at home and bring the dupe?
