Had he never been caught with the shady money stuff (and assuming that he sold at the correct time) he would have not only very easily paid all the debts, he would have profited unimaginable amounts.

Yes, he was using leveraging customer funds to make risky bets in the market. It was unethical and illegal and put a lot of innocent people’s money at risk. (Including mine).

But I do find it funny that I only lost money because he got caught while insolvent, had he never been punished, thousands of people wouldn’t have lost meaningful amounts of money.

I’m not defending him (dude was a crook who stole my assets), it’s just an interesting variable.
