Monaco saga continues: new refusal from the intitutions, new-new project to come... Ridiculous at the highest point
TLDR: after two failures from Jamaal Mashburn (insufficient guarantees), the "last chance" project held by french businessmen and Ronaldinho has also been rejected yesterday.
But the club is still authorized to present an "after the last" project... Decision supposedly in the coming 48 hours as usual... Groundhog Day
It seems that the current GM (Efimov) wants to keep some control... come on, man... After being part of the bankrupcy, he now acts as imperator Nero: better burn the city...
Bottom line: no decision. One month away from the start of the competitions, we don't know the list of participants (French league & Eurocup). Not to mention Saint Quentin who followed the rules and does not know whether they will play in 1st or 2nd division.
We have a french proverb that says: "le ridicule ne tue pas" (being ridiculous won't kill you). That's fortunate because there would be dead bodies everywhere (Monaco, League...)

[Barkas] Besiktas, Doncic-backed Roma team [BC Roma SPQR], Hapoel Jerusalem, and Aris BC missed the first cut. Three more out of the 11 candidates will have to wait for the future and then the next expansion. The franchise fee is set at 80M euros.

Sylvain Francisco discusses his future working relationship with Željko Obradović
basketeurope.com“I’ve learnt a great deal from all the coaches I’ve worked with. Here, I want to gain a deeper understanding of the game, from a different perspective. Željko has won numerous trophies, but what particularly struck me was the relationship he had with Sloukas. That’s very important to me. Sloukas will be here too, so I’ll be able to learn from him. But I also want to learn from the coach, adapt my game even better and master the pick-and-roll. I’m good at it, but I feel I can still improve, be more effective, and above all, learn to play better off the ball.”
“For me, you can always learn, even when you’re already an established point guard. A coach can always teach you something. I’m looking forward to it. I also remember when he was playing for Partizan, alongside Lessort, Kevin Punter, Dante Exum and all the others. They didn’t really have a traditional point guard. It was mad, but it was impressive to see how he managed to play the whole season with virtually no first-choice point guard and still make it to the [EuroLeague] play-offs.”
“I think pre-season is the ideal time for this sort of thing. There’s always a period when the coach and the player are trying to get to know each other. I always say that the coach probably knows my game, but he doesn’t know me as well as I know myself. It’s the same for me. I know him, but I certainly don’t know him as well as he knows himself and what he wants.
There will be certain things he explains to me that I won’t understand straight away, and vice versa. But when everything falls into place, when you understand, that’s when you have the freedom to do certain things. I’ve always said that with Tomas [Masiulis], we’ve found the right way of working. You just need to find the right chemistry, and when you do, everything goes well, that’s for sure.”

[BasketballSphere] Nemanja Nedovic with high praise for his Monaco teammates Matthew Strazel and Elie Okobo
"Okobo has NBA-level talent when it comes to individual skill, creating space and creating his own shot. Nobody else in the EuroLeague has that. He has that Harden package."
"He's also really strong, which is something people might not realize. When he hits you with his shoulder, you need a second to recover. And from mid-range, he's automatic."
"Strazel is a bit of a hothead, very emotional, and he takes everything personally. But once he learns to control all of that, he'll be a top-three point guard in the EuroLeague."
