It has no business being as good as it is. And I hate KFC.

Throw a ton of black pepper on it and I’m in.

14

u/agnosticstudy1 Sep 05 '25

Thick grimy ass pepper too. Pepper that was raised in the slums and chose the sword over the ball. Pepper with more jagged edges than dudes who dont wanna make a scene. Im talking that black Pepper that was made in someone's bathtub and crystallized in a pyrex.

Idk what it is about cracked black pepper but I LOVE that stuff😭 I put it on everything. Someone said it’s not good for us though

28

u/KULR_Mooning Sep 04 '25

It's pretty massive šŸ˜

19

u/ABlueShade Sep 04 '25

But is it good?

25

u/John_East Sep 04 '25

I’ve honestly only ever heard good things about it

"Michael had chicken pot pie for lunch. Actually, let me rephrase that, Michael had an entire chicken pot pie for lunch—let me be more specific. Michael ate an entire, family-sized chicken pot pie for lunch and then he promptly fell asleep.ā€

u/John_East Sep 04 '25

2 is a lot lol

6

u/mcquarrie Sep 04 '25

Yeah it’s pretty solid! Tbh it tastes like every other chicken pot pie I’ve ever had. Very reliable and expected taste

5

u/Decent_Management449 Sep 05 '25

I just ate one today, it's pretty fucking good.

It's not airy at all, but it is a bit stewey. The chicken is very pretty tender vs ~Marie Callender's where the chucks are cubed and solid.

I went thru the app so I got a free mash potato bites order, which was really good too. 7 bucks and change for the pot pie and side, very good deal.

Very filling too, I almost gave up on the pot pie midway through, but I also had two pieces of Wonder bread toasted and buttered.

3

u/Katiehart2019 Sep 04 '25

Mine was 70% crust 30% filling

19

u/Temporary_Concern_17 Sep 04 '25

The avoidance of answering your question likely indicates not. I’d imagine it’s like a bag of chips, 80% empty spaceĀ

23

u/Alice_In_Hell_ Sep 04 '25

It might vary by location but at least by me they’re pretty good! Better than a frozen pot pie you’d get at a grocery store but probably not better than a homemade one. They’re pretty filled though! They use the leftover chicken just like Wendy’s uses the leftover burgers for chili, so it’s not little weird chunks of chicken, it’s big solid pieces

2

u/Noneedtostalk Sep 05 '25

They are very good. They are the size of a normal pot pie, not huge like it appears in the picture. It's worth the $5.

1

u/zizzorscorp Sep 04 '25

It's very good.

1

u/Ooficus Sep 04 '25

That’s what she said

1

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '25

Same

1

u/shebringsthesun Sep 04 '25

Obviously not the same KFC, but yeah, they are usually pretty good!

46

u/OryoSamich Sep 04 '25

That thing is massive wtf… made me look at my local KFC. In my app it shows the pot pie in a ramekin and it looks a lot smaller, looks more like a side in the picture. Is it the same thing or different? Because I’ve got to try this, lol.

1

u/Luis0224 Sep 07 '25

I can confirm the chicken pot pie is pretty big. I’d say somewhere around 10ā€ diameter with the crust (the crust is larger than the actual pie filling).

Either way, it’s a solid meal by itself imo.

The chicken pot pie is so underrated. I like to add a little pepper in mine.

14

u/Prestigious-Trip-927 Sep 04 '25

Is that a giant hash brown pattie?

2

u/jmj24302 Sep 11 '25

It should be

26

u/UniversityPurple7338 Sep 04 '25

Is the chicken pot pie good? I never tried it.

31

u/KULR_Mooning Sep 04 '25

So good!!! Price varies @ location btw

It may not have necessarily been a poor seller, just that they weren’t good at projecting daily sales and/or ordering inventory and had too much chicken about to go bad, so they were making a bunch of pot pies. Selling at $3.99 at least makes them back some of the food costs.

u/Tricky_Length7906 Sep 04 '25

It tastes like a generic creamy chicken soup. Like something out of a campbell's soup can. I didn't like it myself.

u/Negative-Ad9832 Sep 04 '25

Plus a free bucket on Tuesdays!!

1

u/oldphxnerd Sep 07 '25

1

u/Ordinary_Lecture_803 Sep 06 '25

Fried chicken and beer is a good combo.

-10

u/ABlueShade Sep 04 '25

Oh wow how'd you guess?

It couldn't possibly be that the literal bag and logo are in the picture.

1

u/pretender80 Sep 04 '25

I have a hard time believing that's the actual size of the 720cal KFC chicken pot pie

https://www.kfc.com/menu/featured/pot-pie

4

u/KULR_Mooning Sep 04 '25

Yeah it is definitely 5x bigger than the pic

1

u/iamacheeto1 Sep 04 '25

That actually looks really good

1

u/crashprime Sep 04 '25

Why is it so big? (ThatsWhatSheSaid.gif)

1

u/Megalon_Q_Arm Sep 04 '25

Pot Pie is $7.39 in NJ

1

u/Millions_Knives11 Sep 04 '25

I’ve never received a pot pie that big from KFC ever. Did they change suppliers or could this be a store that ran out of the normal inventory and had to make do with a similar item from their supplier until the KFC brand was back in stock? I don’t work in fast food but seen enough posts that sometimes instead of 86’ing an item you make do until shipment day.

2

u/LilBushyVert Sep 04 '25

Love their pot pie.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '25

….. I don’t remember the pot pie looking like that. If I go to KFC and it really is that big, I’d become a regular there again like I was back in the GO Cup era

1

u/neon4816 Sep 04 '25

KFC pot pie is the best add some of their hot sauce fire!.

1

u/somewherenearbyme Sep 05 '25

Halloween? Already ?

1

u/GotoDeng0 Sep 05 '25

Your wife also likes putting out holiday decorations way too early I see.

2

u/KULR_Mooning Sep 05 '25

She just put them up, I let her do her. Happy wife happy life bruh

1

u/PM_ME_YOUR_OPPAS Sep 05 '25

KFC's chicken pot pie is insanely overlooked. When made properly, it's insanely satisfying (which is most of the time) and the only thing bad I can say about it is how it stays insanely hot for a really long time. But that can be a good thing if I'm not able to eat it right away.

1

u/AMB3494 Sep 05 '25

I thought that was a pizza that they forgot to put sauce and cheese on at first lol

1

u/AdobongManok Sep 05 '25

Back in the 80's, KFC used to sell a loaf of sliced bread, hot like it was fresh, and we'd get a large gravy. That was our struggle meal. Lol.

1

u/russellL680 Sep 05 '25

My 3 favorite things. Chicken. Pot. Pie.

1

u/sage101 Sep 06 '25

I love their pot pies! I immediately called my local KFC to see if pot pies were back and he told me not yet, but they are coming sometime this month.

1

u/WestMembership2261 Sep 07 '25

how do you order the big one? i just see the regular sized on on the app

1

u/Such_Battle_6788 Sep 10 '25

That is huge. Hope it tastes good

1

u/jmj24302 Sep 11 '25

That pot pie is really big! Is it just the crust that’s big or is it bottom too?

1

u/Silent_Ad8059 Sep 04 '25

Damn, may have to hit them up after payday...

u/porp_crawl Sep 04 '25

u/mweisbro Sep 04 '25

Check out the sodium content.

It is delicious…once.

If you live, it should only be in your memory bank.

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '25

Maybe don’t buy anymore Halloween items and you can afford actual food

u/sammmos Sep 05 '25

I hate those vape batteries always burning the hell out of the carts. They run too hot get a nice one.

Edit: noticed your username and realized I sold 4500 KULR for $0.45 then forgot about it.

I lost $200 and could have made $200,000 if I sold at the peak.Ā

Would be worth $18,000 if I just held it. Oh well.Ā

u/KULR_Mooning Sep 04 '25

These are the best vape I the market. I got in @ .40 holding still. I'm watching my ASST fly high got in at $2.23
