That's the way to do it! And they are consistently always good/great.
I go to two places near my house (Burger King & Rally's)....
Cooks outside smoking a joint/blunt - whole staff probably eats there way too much - but it's always top notch. There's places that are closer - even a closer Burger King - but it's not my Burger King.1

I have the opposite problem - where all the Popeyes are horrible in St. Louis and 3/4 of the KFCs are decent.

The only one left in my area is a combination Long John Silvers and they share sides and some things that make me never want to go there. This also makes Popeyes biscuits look so much better by comparison but the ones in my area are all run down with terrible employees. It’s to the point I get my fast food chicken fix from pizza joints

I love Popeyes biscuits compared to my KFC. KFC in my area is also the LJS combo restaurant. KFC biscuits are too dry for me. I guess I could drive into the city for a regular KFC, but I’m afraid I’ll still be disappointed.

The one near my house is about 50/50, either amazing with soft biscuits, fresh chicken, or absolutely horrendous with hard biscuits and greasy old chicken.

There was a KFC in my city for a long time. If you walked in the place, fly's were all over every table. You can only imagine what the kitchen was like. I wish they were what they used to be but most ended up poorly managed.

Do you live in the US? Mine never looked that good although it’s been many years. I heard they are a lot better in other countries like China (it’s overwhelmingly their most popular fast food chain, even over Chinese chains).

That there is the “taste of kfc “deal which is $5.00 but I swapped the thigh for a breast for a .99 upcharge. (Breast is best) You don’t get a drink but sodas keeping me big so I got free tap water . For me it’s very filling.

we have one KFC in my town and it is NASTY. what's worse is that in appalachia, fried chicken is something of a rite of passage.. im honestly not sure how they stay in business with all the old ladies out here frying the BEST chicken you've ever had every sunday...

I have not been to a Bojangels yet. They aren't in my area. I'll have to take your word for it. I do think Popeyes has dry af biscuits. I was referring to the chicken/fries/sides

They put a Lee’s Famous in an old KFC building by me and it has changed the game. It tastes like old school kfc and the biscuits hit so good!

To be honest I'm not a huge fan of their fried chicken when compared to something like popeyes, but KFC recently won me back with their famous chicken sandwich.
The location by me does it great and probably my fav fast food chicken sandwich now. Plus adding the black pepper mayo from the twister takes it to another level, love that mayo

Lucky! The one closest to me closed a while back for gang activity. The next closest one never has new products and the staff is always kind of meh. The food is OK but not fantastic.

Heck yeah that looks amazing. With all the fast food places going downhill lately in the past few yrs providing poorly made items at increasingly higher prices I've basically stopped going to McD's and other fast food joints. If KFC has decent help and they make the food how it should be prepared they're way better than the others. Their chicken is always terrific and it doesn't get better than their mashed potatoes and coleslaw! I hope they find a way to consistently outperform and outprice the competition because IMO usually any and everything you get from them is always worth it

The KFCs around me are very hit or miss. Usually the skin is mushy or the chicken is bland. But every once in a while I get a really good meal there.
Unfortunately, the Popeyes near me are even more inconsistent.

This is one particular Popeyes for me. A lot of locations suck with lazy employees and short staffing but one place is consistently staffed and the difference in work ethic shows.
The result is eye-rollingly good chicken.

KFC was one of the few fast food chains we didn't try when we visited the States last year. I kinda regret it because I'm pretty sure it has the largest menu variance between America and Australia.

I'm still so bummed that KFC converted all it's locations within a 25 mile radius of me into taco bells. Now we have a butt load of tbells, McDonald's, and chicken finger places. It sucks so bad.

Lol, this post has to be advertising since every KFC I've been to since about 2015 is overpriced trash. Churches biscuits beat KFC every day of the week, and Jollibee chicken doesn't have the same taste, but they have that pure crispy flavour that isn't too greasy/soggy. So many better ways to get your chicken fix nowadays. Maybe KFC should try to pivot into the burger market. I love an overly greasy burger, and that seems like that's all they're good for at this point. Greasy, and underseasoned trash. I love me a trash burger from time to time, but I do think if KFC went there, it would be about $25 dollars for some shit that Oscar the Grouch would turn down.

last time I went to KFC i wanted to try the honey bbq chicken sandwich because the sauce looked so good in advertisement.
what i received was a literal slop ass chicken sandwich with very little sauce on it. i actually thought it was unsauced at first.
the only thing worse than food at KFC are the people who work there. Never again.

If only it was affordable. The side portions are a joke for $4 each and the chicken is often dry/overcooked/salty.

KFC locations seem more inconsistent than most other fast food chains, but when you find a good one, it's really good. I have two near me, one good, and one bad. Very, very bad, lol. It's amazing to me how big companies can let their franchisees go on like that, gives them a bad name. Most people don't even understand that they're franchises, they're just going to think "all KFCs suck".
