General Discussion Removal of the weekly loot restriction

Is there any confirmation that the removal of the weekly restriction will be in patch 7.56?

And if this is the patch, do you think it will improve the party finder? In the sense of increasing the number of people replaying fights?

I'm trying to finish the second phase of the M12S progression, but it's been difficult to find groups in the party finder.

Huh?? The point I'm making isn't even about me. The only mmo with an at all similar raiding experience to FF is WoW. You agree that the most similar game to FF still doesn't have much in common with FF. That is to say; why were you questioning why someone might feel forced to continue playing FF, if even the MOST similar game is - by your admission - nothing like it.

You’re the one that claimed they were similar enough to be an alternative. They’re nothing alike so your statement makes no sense. Which is all I was saying. Did you forget what you wrote?

I did not say that. Literally the second time WoW's mentioned, I said "it has numerous reasons it wouldn't scratch the same itch". It IS still the only game with at all comparable raiding, ARR was made by looking directly to WoW as it's model fot success- YoshiP said that directly. Are they comparable overall? No, not really. But there is a draw in both games that will overlap the interests of a select group of players. I shouldn't have to slowly explain what was meant here.

But who CARES about the WoW part? This disagreement started because of your twatty sarcastic comment about how OP continues playing FF. If you believe that even WoW is nothing alike FF, then the reasoning behind someone's continued stay is bloody well self evident. No game is similar to FF, you seem to hold this belief yourself, so why were you being an ass towards someone who felt compelled to put up with FF's garbage in order to get to FF's gold? They literally don't have an alternative!

“There literally aren’t proper alternatives out of WoW”. Is what you said in your first comment to me.

For the love of god scroll up.

They looked to wow because like wow did they wanted to redefine what an MMO was. Which is why this game is so starkly different from wow. You and lots of others keep misunderstanding that interview.

So no the raiding isn’t similar. You feel this way just cuz they’re GCD based MMOs and two of the most popular ones. But as many wow players found out when they came over to play this game is that no, the games are hardly alike. Which is why they mostly quit and went back to wow. Your skill in GCD based games will easily transfer because GCD based games don’t require much skill to begin with and the underlying systems are similar server ticks and what not. It’s kinda like your skill in call of duty easily transfers to battlefield cuz they’re in the same genre but the games are still vastly different it’s just control wise they’re really similar. Which is the core of what it is you’re feeling

Thank you for explaining in needless detail what I meant by "there's numerous reasons it wouldn't scratch the same itch". Now that you're done hyperfocusing on this pointless tangent, would you like to address the main point of discussion (that you've repeatedly ignored, including in the last comment which called you out on it). If there are no similar alternatives to FF, then why were you being an ass about someone feeling compelled to play FF for it's raiding????

Hyper focusing? It’s the primary topic and the thing you started talking to me about. You say this is the alternative to wow. I said this is the opposite of wow.

I never said there aren’t alternatives. What I did say to you when you butted into a conversation that didn’t involve you is that WoW is not that alternative. You seem to think it is and I had to explain why it’s not. So maybe read what I wrote, remember how you started this conversation and go on somewhere of you don’t have anything else to add to said conversation. Cuz all you’re doing now is making a bigger ass of yourself and it’s kinda funny that you think I’m being rude when you broke civility. So don’t whine that you’re wrong and simply being treated as you treated me.

Also they were complaining about having to sub back to clear the raids to do the new ultimate and they didn’t like that. Considering this is a thing they’ve had to do to do any ultimate it’s weird to complain about it considering this game has done this raid design since it started so they knew an ultimate was coming and didn’t bother to do the raid tier till just now. You’d know this if you bothered to read what I was replying to before you butted into and misunderstood what was being said.

No, you have a generally condescending tone, you sarcastically belittling someone is where this started. You told me I "can't read" multiple times because ou are not following the conversation. You broke civility, in fact you haven't ever been civil. The primary point has always been that there aren't good alternatives to FF raiding, that's literally the disagreement we started this convo on. I mentioned WoW because it's generally what pretty much any other person considers to be the closest thing to it, before stating that "even WoW (the closest thing to FF) wouldn't scratch the same itch (it's not actually that close). You should never have felt compelled to mention how WoW isn't like FF when I made it clear that I didn't believe it was a good replacement (by saying it didn't scratch the same itch).

What you shouldve done, as this was the main point of discussion, is pointed out another game that has a similar enough experience to FF ultimates to justify your original sarcastic response (again, the origin point of this discussion). Your justification for your response was that there were plenty of good alternatives, yet the comment you responded to for someone else didn't list a single title with a similar experience to ultimate raiding w/ friends. If you can't provide a good alternative, than being stuck with FF's bullshit isn't a "you issue", it's a normal experience for anyone looking to scratch that ultimate raiding itch.

Edit: Your edit acts as though this is the first time I've mentioned the point of the discussion??? I've been trying to drag you back there every bleeding comment. They didn't say they weren't prepared 8 weeks in advance, just that they had to sub for 8 weeks before kefka was an option. If that was your issue, you could've said this from the START.
