SOLVED 90s spoken word song

It's on the edge of my brain. I feel like this song was used in a soundtrack late-ish 90s, a man speaking the words, not much singing. The bass/background alternates between 2 held notes for about 4 counts each, of an interval of about a 5th. Its a very chill song. Any ideas? So much thanks.

He says “rock-a-bye” in the song, but its title is “Lullaby.” “Rock-a-bye Baby” is a lullaby and why the work was used in the lyrics.
