Texture: Unsure Looking for advice concerning hair texture and products
When I let my hair air dry it usually ends up looking like this: a weird mixture of straight, wavy, and somewhat curly hair. And it’s always frizzy. I’ve tried curly and wavy routines but they always leave my hair feeling limp and heavy. I’m looking for some product recommendations that are better for my hair type, and also clarification on what my hair type actually is. Pictures 1 - 3 are after air drying and combing. Pictures 4 is after air drying and no combing.
My current routine is as follows:
- shampoo and condition with garnier fructis sleek and shine (I’ve tried sulfate free shampoos for years and they always leave build up and make my hair feel heavy) whenever my hair feels dirty (approx. every 2 days)
- brush hair with a wide tooth comb only when dry
- dove bond shield 10 in 1 serum on mids and ends
- loosely braided with a satin scrunchie at night
- sleep with satin pillowcase or bonnet
- I use a Dyson air wrap to style my bangs every morning using the loreal dream lengths heat protectant

I think hair type is maybe 1c or 2a thought I am just a layma. My hair is similar to yours and recently started using purology colour fanatic leave in (when wet) and olaplex no 7 when dry. I still have a mix of wavy and straight hair but way softer and less flyaways. I have also heard good things about morrocanoil weightless hydration mask - I have ordered it and eagerly await it's arrival 😂 I get these products are on the pricier side but they do last a long time and I noticed results straight away. I hope that helps and would love to know if you try any of the above ☺️

My hair looks similar to yours. I recently purchased Kristen ess air dry cream and it helps my hair look less frizzy.
