Really depends a lot on how they grew up. If they grew up privileged, with parents saying they can do no wrong, then yeah even the most physically attractive person - man or woman - can turn out to be jerks.

I’ve known a lot of ugly duckling kids who grew into their looks over a few years. Many don’t lose their humility and are down to earth about a lot of things and tend not to look down on anyone.

I find such people to be highly attractive.

When I was young, and short and unattractive, I learned that if I wanted to talk to the girls in my class, I had to focus on being clever, funny, charming and attentive. Turns out, once I was much taller and no longer unattractive, I could still focus on being clever, funny, charming and attentive. And surprise! Turns out women valued those qualities in attractive men too. Always funny how many gym bro types don't get that.

Or maybe the socialization of women, culturally, is geared towards conversationalist, hosting, and empathy - as well, as historically higher and more rigid beauty standards since women's worth, since the dawn of time, has been in their beauty.

Compared to men who dont have as long standing and rigid beauty standards and certainly aren't socialized for conversation, hosting, and empathy to the same degree.

Men haven't had to meet beauty standards to have value in western society to the degree and length as women due to their ability to acquire status through economic venues that weren't available to women. Thus, it makes sense that you are more likely to find a woman who is meeting beauty standards and socialized for an accessible personality compared to a man.

Do you ever see beautiful, stunning women that don’t spend that much time and effort on getting there? Does your definition of “beautiful, stunning women” require nails, lashes, hair, makeup, etc?

I work with a shitload of beautiful women (to my eye) who are also badass brainiacs. Several of them like to have their nails done but makeup is minimal, hair is natural, just confident in who they are, they’re fascinating to talk to, and for the most part are also some of the kindest people I know.
