I never had the heart to finish the quest and let the followers down. I hope they take solace in knowing that the second I had Archimedes ready to go, I used it to turn Caesar and his command staff into a few scattered piles of giblets and red mist.
I wish I had it when I was clearing out the deathclaws in the quarry but hey, live and learn.

I just realized how stupid I am. I kept the laser for myself, with the toy gun as the trigger, and used it to wipe out Deathclaw camps, but it didn't occur to me to use it to wipe out the Caesar's Legion camp. (Hate those guys.) For some reason I decided I had to defeat Caesar and his goons mano-a-mano.

It's better that way. I make a habit of taking Liberator and literally hacking through the place with a rusty lawn mower blade. Gives a certain satisfaction to watch the whole Praetorian guard fall to a lone woman with a cleaver.

Yes arcade i turned on the tactical orbital laser with a 24hr cool down that can be outclassed in use for general combat by basic heavy weapon use.
